Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

they were delightfully inspired by anch's two letter philosophy and assumed they could rip off of his incredible concept and get away with it

To apologize, this week's stats are for the top 500 wooted posts instead of top 100.
And here's the top 100 stats so that they can be directly compared the previous stats in case you feel like that.

Why don't you put numbered ranks for the top posts like you did for the top poster leaderboard?

Still confused on what "Top 100 leader board" means. I'm #35 on the top 100 posts and #35 on leader board isn't me. plsexplain

Top 100 leaderboard is the leaderboard for how many times you appear in the Top 100 Posts.

Because I didn't think of that.

can you update the list again?
or maybe just make a "statistics" page that updates itself like in the failed fail forums

Because sifting through 520,000 posts and sorting them by woots (which need to be calculated for each post instead of simply looked up) is intensive. It takes up a whole 2 seconds to run all the queries. Barely even noticeable when I run it every few weeks. Still barely noticeable if it was only a few times a day for the curious people of the forums. However, making a slow page like that public would make it a huge target for anyone wanting to DoS attack us. It'd be basically a huge public "make server slow down" button.

I was considering that for my signature... I was worried that constantly polling the EE forums would cause my server to look like an attack/bot.
Solution: set up the server to cache the data for 2 hours or something. Then it doesn't pull data again until a user loads the page and greater than two hours have elapsed since the last request.

What about a [cron?] task which runs every day/several hours and saves the result somewhere where it can then be displayed on this stat page?
