Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

[September 21 2015] Statistics from EE Analytics

This is processed stastics from EE Analytics. I'll be adding some more stats about worlds here soon. There is no guarantee over the data's validity. Unfortunately I cannot provide any stats on the lobby just yet. Reply if you'd like to see another stat.

I have a bit of an issue...

I have about a month of lobby data saved, at one second intervals. Unfortunately, I can't decode it (the decoder does not work.) I cannot access the lobby data. If you could help, send an issue or a pull request at https://github.com/Decagon/Lobbydb/blob … s#L140-143! If you don't know how to use GitHub, feel free to post here or send me a PM.

Data is from about April 9, 2015 to about yesterday (April 22, 2015.) About 130+ GB of uncompressed data has been collected since crawling started to now. About 2.5GB are collected per day, around 15,000events/min. Using gzip compression, a 10:1 compression ratio can be achieved. Using lzma, a ~100 or sometimes 10000:1 compression ratio can be achieved. Titles with (new!) in them use more data.

Network diagram
ttZOutK.png

Image is a little big. The nodes are worlds, and the edges are users. The connections are users that joined the same world with another user who was in the same world that they were in at some point. Sample size of 2000 worlds. I'm going to do one with 47,000 soon.

Network diagram with 47,000 worlds
I can't really tell what's going on. This is super super super zoomed in.

Move events in Flappy Bird
I really like move events.

Click image for full 100% size.

The white dots represent where players were when they pressed an arrow key. What I find really interesting is that there are fewer and fewer events (the dots become lighter) as the level progresses, showing that not everyone continues (and quits part way.)

http://everybodyedits.com/games/PWe9WIzx_sbkI (~1.4 million move events).

249    wip
209    art

Same sample size for previous world analysis.

Out of everything,

2153 were PW-type worlds (~85%)
18 were BW-type worlds (~0.7%)
350 were open worlds* (~14%)

* sometimes open world were not crawled. I don't know when. Only rooms that were deemed popular were crawled.

Out of a sample size of ~2500, these are the most popular used world sizes:

35.32% GREAT
21.88% MASSIVE
19.44% LARGE
8.6% HUGE
8.36% WIDE
4.92% SMALL
4.2% MEDIUM
3.4% MOONLARGE
1.72% ULTRAWIDE
1.36% TALL

Doesn't add up to 100% because I used the approximate amounts.

Mentioned usernames

Number on the left hand side means number of times mentioned.

Not going to post this unless I get permission by an admin/guardian

I would like to see that, please pretty please admin/guardians ! =P

Apart from that, stats could be useful to see the trends in world types for example.

Would check with another staff member in case they have a different viewpoint though

Yeah I could try to do that. By world types do you mean like public worlds (beta and regular [PW/BW]) and open worlds?

More something like "<X> <color> minigames" or "<thingy> Boss" or even Bot assisted level. Just looking at the title for key words should be more than enough at the beginning.

Just added a section for that. Hope it helps. Thanks for your suggestion!

Pretty nice ! However you should sort the language by decreasing percentage in the graph (and perhaps mention it) =P

I did something sorta similar; I re made it based on much much more languages, and just skipped the chart and went for percentages.

Network analysis like events/min or like data received per second?

Nah, like social network structure and behavior within those networks.

That'd be really cool. It won't be super good because I don't have all of the usernames (and therefore can't get the profiles, and their friends) and so it would be limited. I'll give it a shot though!

Would really be cool to put this data on a map (because profiles have timezones in them.) If I got their IP addresses, I could place them on the map better, and then have friend connections between them on the map. That is a really good idea.

That's really neat! Thanks for sharing.

I'd be curious to see player names mentioned as well, but that seems more difficult because some player names are words You could do player names with ":" after it, but for short names like mine, many people don't tab the name to get the colon.

I actually did something interesting and got ~11,000 usernames, which is sorta enough. I added another section with the username-mentioned-amount thingy.

I'm working on getting individual users to which what they said, but right now I have number of messages that contain the following:

Messages, word
1154 nub
3249 noob
16 nublet

Users who are called nubs or noobs the most common (top is the highest):

ZACKYO
processor
GABY05
pythonpythonpython
firecrackericebreak
dadito
stagecrew
SETUN
QUITIN
mochonoob

Well, 315 times (case insensitive, in that time period.)

By doing this, I just found out that I was going case-sensitive searches the whole time. Hope it doesn't mess up anything else //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/mad

17 if you count one occurrence of "nooblet." I'm working off a really small amount of data that I have; unless I figure out a way to make the program faster it might take a super long time if I use all of the data (but I would get much better results.)

"espanole" and "espanoles" were compromised of 118 world names, counting duplicates, case insensitive.

Psh "nooblet" isn't a word I use. Nublet all the way.

Again this is really neat. I wonder how the data would change over time. For example, from April 22 - May 8 compared or something.
