Happy Easter to you too, EE! But seriously...

When I logged into EE today I got a greeting and an apology for not updating.

In response I say: Happy Easter to you too, EE! But seriously... Don't apologize for not updating.

I know in the past EE has had holiday updates, but that doesn't mean it is a requirement.

I have played many a game that has doomed itself by forcing out updates that were not ready just because of some ill-conceived, delusive time window.

Now I, like others, enjoy updates, even small things. But I personally would much rather have quality updates than rushed ones.

If you feel obligated to do something for the holidays, don't forget that there's a community here and EE is a platform on which to build. Just post a thread and ask people to make and share an Easter-related small world (emphasis on small world). No competition, no prizes, just for fun.

So while others may disagree with me and be severely disappointed, I for one am content knowing that you did not rush out an update that wasn't ready.

I agree. Better a good update that takes a bit longer (within reason - don't take a year!) is much better than frequent updates of lesser quality (remember when MrShoe started doing weekly updates?)

Updates don't need to be mandatory for holidays  but they should happen sometimes. Like BEE said, small updates are fine. Don't take forever to make an update and don't feel like you have to rush because a holiday is coming up and you feel like you NEED to update. Bot makers should take their time to make sure the bots are in working condition and they are presentable.
Since i take requests, i try to make sure that the requester gets the bot they asked for, and not something they didn't.
Anyways, happy holidays to anybody who celebrates and have a good day to those who don't.

How do you figure?  I think it's great knowing people are not upset about not having an update.  Especially since it's been a good chunk of time since the last update.

By what Nou is saying the update is going to be great, and I like Bee's point of view. They shouldn't force an update that is not ready to publish.
