Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

I searched and didn't find anything specifically suggesting these. I have mentioned these in a different thread.
A portal that is only existant when the specified switch ID is on/off. This means you can just go through the portal if it is on, or just go past it if it's off; and also so nothing will lead to the portal if it's off (which can be used if that portal is the only portal of that ID so the portals with that target can be passed through, or just O(1) path switching.
This can be used for things like reliable fast small switch resetters and also just generally faster/smaller systems.

Hello everyone,
So i thought of idea for portal mechanic. There could be added option to open and close portals. If portal is closed people wouldn't be able to enter it or come out of it (it just wouldn't work). If that would be added then where you choose portal name and target there would be 3rd space to write in a number from 1-999. Also there would be added new switch (or 2 new switches: private and global). If switch 0 (the new switch for portals)is turned on then all portals with number 0 (you would write that number in 3rd space of mini portal settings (where you write name and target)) would stop working. Tell me what do you think of this new idea.
My other idea is to make owner only portals. Well the concept is simple - only owner would be able to use the portals (for others the portal wouldnt work and it could work for invisible and visible portals). Idk if its any useful but it's still an idea.

We have portals. We have switches.
Isn’t the point of EE to create higher functionality by combining existing blocks?
One bot to rule them all, one bot to find them. One bot to bring them all... and with this cliché blind them.

But my idea was to combine switches and portals together to make togglable portals

yo how about switchable portals that switch their portal ID instead
and for the switches use the same IDs that the purple switches do, no need to create a separate ID space for this
this could include the toggleability by setting one of the two switchable targets to a dead end (i.e. a portal that switches between target IDs 0 and 1 in a world without portals with ID 0 would essentially become what is suggested in this thread)

this is nice lockign portals if you sodont have the specific switch shoudl slo work on coins/deaths and used both on id and target

So, I just posted a suggestion for this same thing but eventually found this suggestion so I'll just bump it here.
Please make portal switches. You don't know how many duplicate rooms were made because of this. What people often do is make an unpassable portal(s) to lead to a coin or something. Then the room is duplicated to not include the portals. IMO this would save world space and make it easier on world designers.

done & easy
Bruh like that you can also say 'Why add npcs and signs when there's label? Why add over 150 smileys when there's already ? Why add half slabs when there's already blocks? Why add decorations there are already colors? Why add colors there's already gray? Why add block packs there's already basic?'.
It's just so you have more options and it is also more compact. If you need 50 of these 2x3 areas it's gonna take up 100x3 if you put them all next to each other.
