Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Everybody Edits Offline: Project M (1.0.9) [FESTIVAL OF LOVE!]

Everybody Edits: Project M

What is Project M?

Project M is a community based project that is designed to breathe livelihood into Everybody Edits Offline by offering new features and environments through the use of texture packs, block additions, and more.

How does it work?

This post will host multiple different swfs for personal use that will be edited in any number of ways.

What's the point? Why should I care?

For a lot of you, Project M is going to be a hub for things like texture packs and game additions, where you can download one and make your own worlds using entirely new graphics and features from what you can find in vanilla EE.

Update 1.0.9

wmBjinc.png

Happy Lunar New Year, and Happy Valentine's Day, with love!

• This update adds the following assets to Project M, all used with permission:

         - Dojo Package Extension
         - Lunar Festival 2022 Package
               • Lit and Unlit Lantern by Minimania
               • The rest of the package was made by Toop/Brushfire
         - Valentines 2022 Package by Minimania
         - Gangue Package
               • Striated Stone Block by Sleepy/Exidelo
               • Cobblestone Block from the Cut Content Archive made by Toop/Brushfire
               • The rest of the package was made by Toop/Brushfire
         - Jewel Package by Sleepy/Exidelo
         - Gemstone Package from the Cut Content Archive by Toop/Brushfire
         - Fridge Magnets Packages (A-Z and 0-9) from the Cut Content Archive by Toop/Brushfire
         - Geisha Smiley by Toop/Brushfire
         - Samurai Smiley from the Cut Content Archive by Toop/Brushfire
         - Blue Dragon Smiley by Minimania
         - Orange Dragon Smiley by Minimania
         - Lovestruck Smiley by AmdS
         - Lipstick Smiley by dcomet
         - Groom Smiley from the Cut Content Archive by Toop/Brushfire
         - Miner Smiley from the Cut Content Archive by Toop/Brushfire (originally by Cola1)

WPH08uR.png

         - Whereas last update introduced a lot of options for building, including Alphabet blocks for making messages in worlds, this update introduces the Fridge Magnet packs, which can be used to place messages in any of the 10 basic colors!

ynG1kZ0.png

         - Though sadly delayed, this update is still on time for Lunar New Year! This year, the festivities began on February 1st, and they'll end on February 16. This happened to coincide with Valentine's Day (on the 14th) and so gave me a good enough reason to add some things loosely related to the theme!

usktpJo.png

         - Valentine's Day gave me a good excuse to add some packs with some really valuable gemstones in them, the Jewel and Gemstone packs! Loosely tied to these packs, the Gangue pack gives builders much more options when making stony environments, such as mines where you could find such gemstones! I'm sure you're probably wondering what the word "gangue" even means. Well, gangue refers to the commercially worthless stone and rock that precious gems and metals can be found within. This also ties loosely back into the Lunar Festival theme. At the start of the festival, those who celebrate tend not to sweep or mop, or even take out the trash, because it's seen as removing your own good fortune. So, by keeping the commercially worthless stone, we are keeping with the tradition!

dpFVgPA.png

• The lobby background has been changed, and now features the following world:

         - Mini und Zoey by Minimania

PuH8YCF.png

List of known issues:
         - Fakeplayers cannot collect coins that you've already collected, even if they haven't collected them yet.

To do list:
         - Make it easier to collapse block packs
         - Some sort of easter egg or contest or something similar
         - Add a levels tab to one of these posts
         - Make the Prismarine Package less ugly

Special thanks to Seb135 and HG for giving me assistance while programming! SWF - Safe Download through Google Drive
SWF - Safe Download through DropBox
SWF - Safe Download through Mediafire
SWF - Safe Download through Sta.sh

Important Note: Regarding Project M, those who use Mac or Linux may find that the exe will not work using a program like Wine. Instead, if you wish to play Project M using either, you will have to download the SWF, and you can play using a Flash Player made for your operating system. You can download the one for mac here, and you can download the one for linux here. Otherwise, if your flash player isn't working, try downloading an outdated version of Flash Player, as the most recent versions of Adobe Flash Player came with a killswitch preventing them from working after Flash shut down.

Notice: Project M uses a custom file extension, .pmlvl and .pmlvls. Any world(s) saved using Project M will become .pmlvl or .pmlvls, and these worlds cannot be loaded into vanilla Everybody Edits: Offline. However, Project M can still be used to read .eelvl or .eelvls files.

As you say Minimania has been working on this project for a quite while now, what is fantastic is that finally the staff decided that his idea should be finally implemented officially announcing to remove the stolen graphics.

The staff has taken a very wise desition, I am really happy for them.

This is not an official update to EE in any way, this project is community-driven. Just want to make that clear. I'm using my position as a member of the community to make this, not my position as a moderator.

Did you hear that Minisaurus? EE still uses stolen graphics; time to keep that drama going!

Perhaps the community success in what the staff is failing. What start as a community project might be later on part of the official plan of the staff.
Minimania approach is a very important step.

Re: Everybody Edits Offline: Project M (1.0.9) [FESTIVAL OF LOVE!]

Update 1.0.1

1gFYo4Q.png

I've updated a few of the new packages, namely basic, generic, and all of the door and gates. There's also a new "null" block image.

Updated Graphics

I've also changed up the Lobby background images. The levels are Relics of Athena (PWbNLA2_00bkI) by Kingoftheozone, Meltdown at Calipses (PWRBAsMw6kb0I) by Commanderkitten, and Hyperion (PWyfcVaMLWb0I) by Lickagoat. I highly recommend playing these three levels in Project M, as they use a lot of the blocks that Project M changed. They're pretty fun, and not too tough.

You can play Everybody Edits: Project M 1.0.1 here (link removed), on my Sta.sh page, where you can also download the swf itself and do what you want with it. Feel free to give any feedback for the project, as I am always looking to improve.

Finally, please accept these images as teaser images for something I'd like to put out in the future.

Teaser Images

Big thanks to Security-Drone for creating the updated EE globe, and to Minisaurus for the Halloween Blood block overlay. Special thanks to SirJosh, N1KF, Minisaurus, and Karl255 for giving me some very useful constructive criticism.

For EE, to replace the stolen graphics. For EEO, to create additional texture packs with the current pack as a base, as well as to add new content, such as blocks. EEO is not public yet, so nothing for it is out.
