EEU: Entities

Collision with other players. Collide able blocks (non fixed).

World types:

EE: blocks are 16x16, no collision
EEU: blocks are 24x24, no collision
RPG: blocks are 24x24, collide able blocks and fixed blocks.

then we woudl need x2 tha amount of ghrapics for EE worlds and EEU worlds collid eidea is actualy neat could be just an effect (both players tith effect collide)

This would create double development time and divide the game's image, resulting in something less identifiable. This would hurt the EE brand.
On collision, I couldn't see it as a setting. I doubt EEU would have an entire mode dedicated to RPGs, and even stuff created with collision in mind could be easily broken. I could see an effect that turns you into a block, and makes you collide with players that way, but EE doesn't seem great at calculating position. The easiest way to fix that would be making everything server-side, probably not the best idea.

I still think entities could work in a way: I always wished we had dummy smileys, just smileys not controlled by a player. It would activate global switches for all and purple switches only for itself just like a normal player. I think even more possibilities could be unlocked if there were an option where dummies could be linked in a way and also activate purple switches for you, but I think things would just get out-of-hand if that were added.

But I remember zombie effect not always working 100%, and adding collision would just make things worse. I know if I enter a world twice, I appear to be in a different position than I see myself in.

What would be a practical use for this? It seems like something that would be super annoying, also are the collisions circles or squares because if it's circles movement will act really strange and if squares then you can hit corners but look like you shouldn't have collided.

This would get really annoying really quickly.

If players had collision, players could make a wall to prevent other players from passing.

Or if other players were push-able, you could push other players off, creating a whole new level of trolling...


Despite what people say, Different55 is the best mod.

this is debatable both have up an ddonw sides as you mentioned them also we have to take in acoutn the robo smiley is for exmaple a square and smileys like the dragons seagul bat and ect have wings that are partof the smiley wll it collide or?

The graphics are being made with vector graphics so you can zoom in and out and the blocks will look smooth regardless of what level of zoom you're at. The default size is 24x24.
