World-defined speed-running sections are more appropriate than user-planned runs. Race effect can easily organize speed-runs so they're equal for all the players. It shouldn't be dependent on the player, as this might cause small inaccuracy between start for all players.

This doesn't stop players from making custom speed-runs, either by external tools, or game features, but if a world builder intends their worlds to be speed-ran from a point to another, they shall be allowed to.

This would be a pretty cool idea to have as speedrunners will finally be able to have a proper time.

But maybe there should be a min time limit, to stop the botters and hackers.

This an amazing idea.  I would also love for their to be a way to track time across multiple maps/levels and add them together.....

Oh well, I'll have to stick to a bot for my next project.  +19 to OP for amazing idea.

A new effect has been added to allow increasing or decreasing an ongoing race's total time.

Split functionality has now been explained in detail.

I'm planning on making new graphics for the effect, with the shape of a timer, to resemble the usage of the effect as a timer/stopwatch, and make it more fitting for it's usage.
