Yeah, they did that for thousands of accounts, but for now, fixed this at least.
Did they also clear and save worlds or tamper with them in any way?

It is currently still available on Kongregate. I cannot say for certain at this moment in time whether it will return on the main site or not.
I think the hackers changed my username to SPONGELITOOWO as I was trying to access one of my worlds from my original acc. When the breach is fixed if it can be, is it possible to change my name back? (Also yes my world is set to friends only and I kinda forgot about it)

In my opinion, I think the morphing the drastic amount of blocks wouldn't be the best of ideas. What about different colored blocks such as glass or mineral? Would those be morphable?

LukeM, if I may explain to you why you should temporarily shutdown the game:
1. It lowers risk and prevents players from logging in, making it safer
2. While shutting down the game doesn't exactly solve the problem, it's more of a precaution to keep things from getting worse.

I can't even go into the lobby anymore because I get stuck on the loading screen. I checked my connection and it said it was fine. Your update has had way too many bugs and now I cannot play the game at all anymore. This needs to be fixed.

There are a bunch of "campaign" worlds titled realmaster42 is back. What does that mean? Are they a hacker? Is EE getting hacked?

I put my favorite smileys for saved...
But when I leave, they keep resetting, as well as the smiley I am using.
This also applies to the word filter. I thought this was fixed already

When I turn off the word filter and I leave the world and the word filter automatically turns back on. I am not sure if this is a bug or intentional. Please let me know.

When I save smileys or "favorite" them, I leave the world, but when I join another, the smileys I saved aren't saved.
Also when I uncheck the word filter, I leave the world, and the word filter is checked.
There are other bugs as well ever since the new update came out. Can you please fix them as soon as you can?
