ok, i'm going to share what i whispered to onjit (about the 2nd quote anyway) w/ this thread: with the unprompted "hello fellow not scum"/"i'm not scum or am i lol" jokes, oldinese seems like either newbie scum awkwardly trying to fit in as town, or jester trying to get lynched. i made a similar joke in response to task wanting to see my rolecard earlier, but these are just out of nowhere.

(if that logic is agreed on & scum or jester are the two main possibilities for him to flip, then if no PRs or other self-aligneds are suspected by the end of today and scum doesn't kill him, it's probably because he's scum)

Why would a scum kill someone who is suspicious though? A scum could intentionally not kill him to put sus on him. Either way I don't think his jokes indicate anything lol

if a jester gets lynched they win (& get an unblockable kill), so if the point of the game is fulfilling one's wincon and preventing other factions from fulfilling theirs, jester would be on scum's hitlist (though relatively low down since they can't do anything until/unless they're lynched). if anything scum would want to defend jester so they don't get lynched before they get the chance to kill them

Ooh, that makes sense. Also I was gonna say that scum might use Jester to eliminate a town but that might backfire, so that's out of the question I guess.

i can’t find it lol but tbh i’m fine with the mystery, it makes things a little harder for everyone, also since there are so many roles that can change into other factions already there’s not really any point in knowing bc it could change every night

from my experience of over 50,000 town of Salem games, along with the evidence I've gathered I'd say peace is jester 100% no doubt in my mind

Technically, not all factions need to prevent other's wincon's. One of the first rules (or whatever it was) that Minimania stated was that the game doesn't end when one person achieved their win condition. So theoretically, a Jester could be lynched and the game would still go on. If anything, if mafia had read these rules they would not target a possible jester, because it would only leave more chances for Town to slip up.

No, we don't. But assuming the 'ratio', shall I put it, applies, then with 14 players we're most likely dealing with 9T 3M 1N and one wild card. I just assume this because this is the setup layout I see most often for 13 player games, but since it's a 14 player game, I can't accurately predict what that 14th role's alignment will be. It could turn out to be different in the sake of chaos, but for the time being, we should assume we're dealing with 5 evils.

The ToS had quite a nice Jester's tactic before it became overused. After the first night they kept saying "I'm Vigi I tried shooting x but he was immune". The thing about ToS Vigilantes is they can't shoot anybody on the first night - only on the latter ones. well that was a bloodbath. didn't realize there were so many killing roles. That seems more than a little imbalanced if a *significant* portion of the game can be eliminated in a single night.

Well this is confusing.
There were 4 deaths, 5 attempted murders. Let’s look at the deaths.
Mafia can kill twice at max (Godfather + another mafia), I’m gonna assume that mafia did that. Who did the remaining 2 kills then? The only other roles who can kill N1 are, Vigilante, Veteran, Monster Slayer, and Serial Killer. Obviously Monster Slayer didn’t kill. Did 2 town kill then? Or does a Serial Killer exist?
Now some woman said that there was an attempted murder, so there are 5 killers, unless one of the dead somehow visited the Yandere’s target (unlikely but that’s still a possibility), that still means that 4 killers remain though.
I think a Serial Killer exists, I don’t know why would Vigilante shoot N1. But regardless I also think that a Town Killing role (either Vigi or Vet, or both) exists.

Well if the veteran exists, it's possible they were on alert when Norwegian tried "milking" them. Since we don't see how the people have died (technically we should), all that's left is making assumptions on what roles exist and what do not
