Hi Everybody!

Anyone can now finally Opt In to EE Universe! We're finishing up almost completely automating the Opt In process, which we aim to complete in the next couple of days. Please bear with us while we finish this process, and we expect to receive a large influx of new Opt In accounts. In the meantime, you can now opt in to reserve your username and have your account compensated in EEU, and we'll aim to get emails out to you within a few days! You will need to at least have completed the Tutorial or earned Maximum Energy in some form though, just to prevent spamming the system, which we hope is an understandable restraint!

For EEU itself, we plan on bringing back Secret Santa for another year, along with the addition of the Jungle Pack, including EEU's first Face Block!

EE Offline

EE Offline is pretty much complete and ready to go! We are having some issues when it comes to making it an EXE file instead of just an SWF file, but rest assured we aim to get this sorted very soon. In the meantime, we will be asking the EEU players to test it out before we launch it fully on the website here. Thanks especially to LuciferX and Seb135 for their hard work in bringing the final product to fruition! Cercul1 also deserves praise for enabling us to download levels from EE!

We have expected that all players can opt-in EEU from now. Postman was only smiley couldn't be purchasable .

EVERYBODY EDITS OFFLINE YEaH. Will you allow any of the EEO developers to share some of the code of EEO? That could help a lot with fan projects, like modding the game or recreating it to work in JavaScript or on a toaster.

In addition if you haven't already, you should also consider updating Everybody Edits mirrors on websites like Newgrounds or Kongregate to be the Everybody Edits Offline SWF. Yes, Adobe Flash Player won't work, but that doesn't mean users or website owners can't create their own solution to play SWF files like Newgrounds plans to do.

Just to warn people, I wouldn’t spend any real money on the game this close to it being shut down, it may seem like you’re getting twice what you’re paying for but this is only for the things you buy in EE, not the compensation in EEU, so anything extra you get now will be deleted in a month.

Should probably put this as a disclaimer in game so that people don’t feel scammed when they think they’re getting a good deal but actually are not.

Update: Also don't buy Beta in EE if you don't have it already! If you do then your compensation in EEU will currently still decrease even though Beta is no longer required to access EEU.

The opt-in process is almost done being made automatic. Until then, every person being opted-in is having it done completely manually, which takes some time, especially with so many other people opting-in concurrently. You'll be able to get in soon.

Yes, but there's a big difference between the official Flash player ending support and the EE servers going offline. They have other ways of keeping it up, like linking to the game's exe file. For whatever reason the staff haven't publicly announced what they'll do when 2021 comes, even though I've brought it up here and in the EEU Discord server.

So previously it sort of made sense that you wouldn't be compensated for beta and gold membership since those were sort of 'consumable' (early access to EEU, and a subscription), but now that beta is basically a glorified block/smiley pack it doesn't make sense and is misleading to treat it differently.

If you buy beta today you will be spending either $5 or $5 worth of gems, and everything you get from that will be deleted in a month, with no form of compensation.

I believe that the staff team urgently need to make this clear in game so that people don't feel scammed, and offer a refund to anyone who has already been misled. Until then I guess just if you hear that anyone is thinking of buying gems/beta, warn them that what they get will be deleted in a month, and they won't get any extra compensation from the 50% off deal, or any at all in the case of beta. If someone has already spent the money and regrets their decision they can either try and contact the staff team to ask for a refund, or if they refuse you can always go through your bank/paypal to request a chargeback.

They now get a free 200x200 world in EEU in compensation if they have Beta when they opt in, and you've also missed out the 2 worlds they get for Beta in EE.
