How have y'all changed since coming to EE?

Heya, I was just kind of curious how everyone in the community is doing these days and since it's been almost a decade since the golden age of EE. Idk I wanted to know how people are getting on.

It's really weird that when I started this game I was an edgy very straight emotionally unstable 12? year old with hardly any friends irl. And now I'm an edgy very gay emotionally unstable 22 year old with a MSc in Social Psychology and a drinking problem.
Idk, who were you when you started EE and who are you now?

I went in having no friends, came out of it having lots of friends and a gf of a few years. overall it's been good but there's nothing good left in it for me anymore

I was a very edgy, zealous kid who quickly developed an obsession for EE smileys. Upon reaching high school that obsession developed into graffiting on every surface possible. There'd be coys on kitchen appliances, classroom walls, desks, bathroom doors, whiteboards, the ceiling of the gym lockers, printers would be spitting out a constant stream of crudely drawn coys... etc.

That developed into me attempting to learn how to draw, but hey I won a few thousand $$$$ out of a graphic design course last year so it's pretty good. Other than that I became a bitter old man in the body of a youth, and love watching drama unfold between angry idiots.

I don't think EE itself has been responsible for any of my personal development, but judging by my old forum posts I've certainly become less cringey.

Came in as a slightly nerdy little kid who thought Miniclip was the pinnacle of PC gaming. Now a nerdier engineering graduate with some social skills and spending money. Still a sarcastic sonofa so that didn't change.

Being older is weird. You're still a kid inside but now you have to do the adult things as well, like paying rent and cooking and fixing the dryer. It's worth it tho because you don't have school and can buy random stuff and book your own holidays. Climbing the ladder and slowly improving your quality of life is cool too.

I was like 8 when I joined (~2011. I'm not even legal yet). Since being active in the community I learned to not sperg out over being gifted, not be Mr. Funny Guy all the time, and not think of everything as me vs. them. (Once I practically wrote an entire essay for myself on why furries have bad mental hygeine, and how I'm soo much better than literally everyone on the internet who attaches their likeness to a character. Like, shut the **** up already, gosh.) Then I did some Rain Man ****, so that's cool.
