Secret Santa 2019

You know the drill: You sign up, you receive a player's name and you have to make up a world as a Christmas gift for them, whilst keeping your identity secret until the 25th of December.
This is going to be hopefully the first Everybody Edits Universe edition.

~~In the possibility that the open beta won't arrive until December, we will have the pleasure of bragging that Xenonetix stole our Christmas.~~

In order to register please sent me a PM on forums containing your EE in-game username, whether you signed up for the closed beta or not, your EEU in-game username, and optionally you can provide preferences to whom you would like to be paired with under the form <EE username - their EEU username>.

I know that you've been a very efficient elf in the previous years, and many people who got their present lost have've been aided by you.
So if you insist, I will concern myself with the possibility of transferring the topic ownerships or the alternatives, and will provide you a list of people who already signed up.

Alternatively, I am open to assistance. A cohosting is entirely available to whomever would like to help and has the managing skills required for a smooth organisation of this event.

Can we hold off on the arms race to create the Secret Santa topic as early as possible just as a grab to be the one organising it? It's getting pretty ridiculous, even shops haven't started stocking anything christmas related here and they already do it insanely early...

Zoey has claimed it pretty loudly and openly a year or so in advance twice in a row now, and both times people have still dashed in as soon as possible to beat everyone else to it... You even wooted the majority of the posts complaining about this last year, so you obviously know what's been happening...

can i 105% agree wiht lukem here exept for the xmas thing lets be real heren and lets just create an annoucement topic in liek end novemember early dec to have some signsups then we still have liek 3 weeks to build out wrold right now you will have an isanlel log signup period fo rnothing +i doubt SS will be good this year due to almost no block sin EEU yet and we maby cant use EE worlds

My interest with this topic is not to reserve my spot as an organiser.

My interest is to popularise the idea of having a Secret Santa exchange in EEU for-all.
And I think I can make it happen, provided I have enough support from other people to support this idea.

Is there a reason you think that Zoey wouldn't be fit to run it or something? I don't see why that means that you had to jump in front of Zoey and start the secret santa two-ish months before Christmas...

Sorry if I'm misunderstanding you, but I thought it was pretty clear that Zoey was planning on running one, I guess she just doesn't want to stoop to announcing it several weeks before things like this usually begin. We're not trying to stop people from celebrating Christmas, again, sorry if this is what you thought I was saying, it's just that the day after Halloween is a crazy time to start the celebrations, especially when it means that you're asking people to sign up to an event in a game a lot of them can't even play yet, and last year you were saying the same.

Edit: I guess what I'm saying is that I didn't think that there was any reason other than to take it from Zoey for starting this early, especially when you were publicly against starting it this early last year. If there's a good reason for it that I'm missing then please correct me.

Last year, this event was a **** joke to half the people that signed up. I didn't get anything despite making something for two people. I really hope either you or Zoey can change that.

Why is this entire situation so much drama and being passive-aggressively fought over.
Like I get the entire "wow forum and EE clout" thing but honestly who really cares in the longevity of it
Whos gonna come up to you 3 months from now and say "Hey that one secret santa, good **** dude" like honestly itll be forgotten the month after anyways
