Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

A thorough examination of my terrible level design.

So here’s some backstory: In 2010 i found this website where you could create mario levels in a flash game. It is essentially a old flash "mario maker" except it was created a lot earlier and has much less tools and etc. But it was still very ahead of it’s time. Allowing any kids, no matter how technically impaired to create their very own mario levels. It was a dream come true for young me. Unfortunately, while i did have some interesting ideas, most of the levels are terrible and atrocious. I made a video clip of 2019 me replaying my old levels. You can expect to see such quality level tropes such as: door mazes, jerkish enemy placement, walls of munchers, kaizo, empty lazy level design, reusing of my "favourite obstacle setups... and just general evilness. You can really see how my sadistic trait shines through from the levels even from my early age.

I also used to play that game as a kid! Fun times
I don't think I ever made full levels though, just messed around with it

Marios secret hideout looks cool, I like the glitchy style

Yeah i was clearly experimenting a lot with different types of levels. There are some more "normal" looking levels i didn’t include because they weren’t as interesting. But mostly it was a hit and miss. Some of the levels actually had quite clever ideas that could have been expanded upon, but some are just bad lol.

Ahhhhhh, I remember this. It was fun for a bit. Kind of reminds me of this one flash game that had some of the Mario blocks. I hear it was supposed to get a reboot earlier this year or something... shame.
