My opinion changed after discussing and seeing several comments about this patreon.

Megalamb, I sincerely think this patreon would be successful if you were more transparent about all of this. Showing us actual leaks and previews will build a bond of trust, thus, a reason to donate money for that cause. The reason why I'd only put $5 at most is because I am uncertain about all of this. The community got fooled over and over again, and we have a hard time trusting mere words.

I hope you understand my point.

I don't know, 3000 dollars a year sounds like it'd have to do a whole awful lot to be worth it. You could buy a car with that kind of money.

This sounds like a good idea. I wish I could support you guys, but my parents have the irrational fear that every site on the internet is out to steal your money and personal information. So they don't let me buy anything online. Rip.
Though, if I can be honest, I don't think that most of the rewards are worth the amount of money you need to pay each month, with the exception of the 2$ tier and 5$ tier and maybe the 250$ tier, depending on what it is.

Just so you know, we don't expect people to subscribe to the higher tiers, they are pretty much just there in case some rich person comes along and decides they want the highest rank XD, and to reward them if they do.

And as for the pay to win thing, I can confirm that nothing above the beta / GM one gives you any actual advantage in game, we're not about to go the way of other internet / mobile games XD, this it to thank the people paying, not to force you to.

Also I'm fairly sure than beta and GM are staying (at least until the rEEboot, not sure what's happening after that), we just thought that if someone is paying this fairly large amount of money, then we shouldn't make them pay for those too.

Wouldn't programming things for those tiers take away from the time you could use to be programming the regular features of what makes the reboot the reboot?

None of these take that long to make, so the vast majority of our efforts are still going to normal features of EE and the rEEboot

Tbh most of the "rewards" are fine, except for custom name color, that is a REALLY REALLY terrible idea, since name colour is the main measure of differentiating players and staff

I think it might be a good way to support ee (in short term).
About the different username colour, I'd only support the idea if the colour will not stand out too much like the current colours we have for staff members. Maybe like a soft yellow?
I'm a bit scared that people will use it to brag and to seem better than other players. I've seen this happen a lot in the past with people who bought builders club and beta when these were only available if you paid money. In a game that's mostly played by kids it's very easy to manipulate these kids if you have something special like this. And imo that can really ruin a community.

I also want to add that I strongly favour paying the people that work on ee, IF it will create a more professional environment. For this to work, the one who coordinates the staff must be a bit strict and shouldn't accept too much bs (from the staffmembers, but also from himself). But when this all happens I believe ee will be able to grow a lot, and drama around the staff will not happen as often and as bad.

hey guys! Just throwing in my two cents. Remember these are rewards, not requirements. If you figure no one will go over $20, there's a tier for that. No harm in higher things. I look at the people with Builders Club or diamond blocks and wonder who has that kind of money. These folk, presumably.

I think closed alpha is planned to be more of an internal testing phase, its just that if someone gives that much money then they'll probably want some assurance that we are actually making significant progress with the rEEboot, and that its not just going to fail like the previous attempts.
