Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Effect which will basically do the following:
Disable movement during it's duration
Freeze screen
Let the player act very fast
It's pretty hard to implement and to suggest such that it won't be abused. But listen.
Do you know EE-calculators that calculate only with the players speed up to 7 minutes.
I won't say that the system is bad, however it would be as following:
Effect enabled.
Player screen freezes
Instead of 7 minutes the smiley moves thousand times faster -> 2 seconds
Effect disabled.
Player screen refreezes.
It should be implemented for mechanics and be owner only (so it won't be abused, and if it will, its like trolling your own world, because during the effect you can still leave, chat, etc.)
If there will be no disable, then it's owners fault.
The player's screen is still frozen because you said "The player's screen refreezes", not "The player's screen unfreezes".

So, from what I'm getting, basically when you enter a mini really fast, you get the calculation effect and it lets you figure out how to do the mini?

No.
Remember the long machines in EE we created for making the world called "Calculator". Basically all the switch systems and all the stuff just takes too long for calculating. So during this systems you move VERY FAST so it calculates faster.
This would ruin the idea of trying to make the smallest and fastest switch systems.

Yep, even the classic switch systems would complete in like a centisecond.

Not sure if people really don't understand, but just incase here's my understanding of it:
You have an effect that, while enabled, makes your game try to simulate physics as fast as possible (basically to get you through switch systems faster), causing it to freeze until the effect is disabled again.
Although yes I do think this would be useful in a few specific cases, I'm not sure of 1. how easy this would be to implement (mostly due to the game being multiplayer, you don't want to freeze everyones games for 2 seconds when anyone hits the effect), and 2. how much good it will do compared to the huge problem of basically crashing people's games if they never reach the disable effect block or just freezing slow computers for maybe a minute or more as they can only run the game at 5x speed or whatever.

Thanks for explaining this.
If it's just meant to make switch systems faster, why wouldn't you just use a high speed effect?

Because no such high speed effect exists.

I guess the logic behind it is that a high game speed effect can only do so much (it would be a preset 2x or 5x speed or whatever), while a 'run the game as fast as possible' effect would get you through the switch machine much faster assuming your computer can handle it. I do think that the disadvantages of doing that outweigh the advantages though, as it would make the game seem messy and buggy, so a lot of thought would need to go in to how you would solve these problems before this becomes a viable suggestion.

Basically this. EE is all about being creative.
This idea doesn't make sense as it can't be used for game play but just for a very specific thing: switch systems. Well, that's really bad because people shouldn't ask theirselves: "Where would I even use this for? I don't even know how to make complicated switch systems!" (*cough* edit *cough* this is me). New players will be even more confused.

If flash hasn’t ruined your computer yet, then it will also handle it.

Considering your suggestion literally involves crashing the game, I heavily disagree.

I mean, I basically lag in every game because my computer was already kinda laggy. Hotspot Shield made everything way lpaggier so I deleted it. So my computer would probably crash if it goes too fast.

I suggested something simmilar while ago
I know it have differences, but it's almost same except screen freeze, and changed physics speed.
I still waiting for effects improvement like in multijump effect.

In reality the stopping is literally only half the effect.
I suggested the other half before though
