New Action Blocks & Campaigns!

Hi Everybody!

Our update today primarily focuses on increasing gameplay functionality within the game, with some of the items I know people have been asking for for years!

First, we have the long-awaited Silver Crown Doors & Gates, which only open and close after you've completed the level! These are included with the Gold Crown Doors & Gates. //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/big_smile

Second, we have the long-awaited Low Jump ability! This means you can jump as low as the zombies do, but without being a zombie! It's a new option within the "Jump" Ability Block. //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/wink

Third, and the most exciting in my opinion, there is now the ability to enter an ID into World Portals! If set to 0, entering it takes you to the regular spawn point, but now if you set it to the ID of the special new World Portal Spawn Point, you'll enter the new level at a special preset location!

You receive these new spawn points with the same number of world portals you own! They are owner-only though, so only the world owner can place them. We also have a system in place to combat exploitation where you have to be the world owner (or at least in the crew) of both worlds (the one with the original world portal, and the one with the special spawn point). If you start trying to skip worlds or parts of levels, it'll just spawn you to the regular spawn point! //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/tongue

Finally, we've expanded on the Candy Pack to finally include the Blue Candy block, as many people wanted that as well. //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/smile

In addition to all this, we're releasing the new Technology campaign! If you're short on energy for World Portals, you can get some by completing it. //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/cool

UPDATE: We've also launched the Altered Reality campaign! Good luck!

Here are the other minor adjustments:
- Updated the Campaign Progress restoration message.
- Campaign progression save time is now 72 hours.
- Fixed some bugs with favourite worlds.
- Fixed a bug regarding how the gravity effect behaves when using "/loadlevel".
- Many updates to how World Portals behave!
- Fixed a bug with reset blocks.
- Updated the initial loader screen slightly.
- Updated the normal spawn point graphic slightly.
- Players can now use "/reset" to reset themselves in any world without reloading the level!
- Fixed some bugs with Team Doors so people no longer get stuck in them!

Great update, the low jump action block is definitely an amazing effect for puzzles and such.

Really excited to see what EE players will come up with these new world spawn points!

I wanted to mention that Luke did most of the programming on this update, while I worked on stuff for the reboot.

WWOW THIS IS GOOD

there's actually a lot of new features that make me happy
particularly impressed with world portal update and the gravity effect bugfix (thanks lukem for getting onto my report!)

I would have liked to make it more secure, but PlayerIO doesn't allow for easy communication between worlds, so the only real way to do this was client side. Plus it doesn't really matter because should you want to cheat through half the level (and have access to modified clients), you can just ignore the coordinates in the init message and move directly to the spawn point with the ID anyway //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/tongue.

Note: Should the rEEboot have better cheat prevention making this the weakest link so to speak, I'm sure we will make sure it is done entirely serverside (as we should have the ability to if we are in control of the server architecture)

Join another campaign world and it will reset your progress.

If you beat everything else, there's always Be Gone. by Kiraninja
