BATTLING ORDERED MONSTROSITIES

...an indirect continuation of critically acclaimed Battle of Monster!!...

...another forum game by some man...

...SOME MAN BRINGS TO YOU:

*unique drum roll and cymbal crash*

BATTLING ORDERED MONSTROSITIES is a forum game where a monster appears, and if you choose to attack it, you get your own profile and everything and get to keep battling monsters.

Just post a command of some sort, and you're in! Anything too ridiculous (unlikely!) will be toned down, so you can't simply cause mass destruction everywhere. You also can't do the same thing twice or post twice in one turn. Other than that, go crazy.

Monsters will try to attack anyone who attacks them, which is why every monster and every player has their own health bar. Drop a monster's health bar to zero, and you'll get a share of the rewards and move onto the next enemy. Drop a player's health bar to zero, and they'll be out of the game for one or two before coming back with full health.

All pages will have a similar aesthetic to the most recent post in Battle of Monster: Electric Boogaloo, so prepare to see a lot of stock images, profile pictures, bad doodles, and strange font choices!

I'll add rules on the fly, based around how the game is progressing. In some cases, you may find that you're limited from doing things that seemed like a free action before.

What's the reason behind this?
I miss when Forum Games was always active, and being dumb and silly was the whole fun, no matter how much cringeworthy content it may have produced. Plus, Battle of Monster-like games, the kind that Michele used to post all the time, those were fun.

The inanity of the situation takes a hold of you, and you COMPLETELY LOSE YOUR **** and tackle the smiley head-on. The tackle itself deals 4 damage, and the little prongs on your hazmat suit poke into it for 1 damage.

In retaliation, the smiley suddenly produces a stubby circular hand, with which it throws a set of brown road tacks at you! Your suit is quite strong, but the spikes manage to rip through it and slightly puncture your skin for 4 damage.

You imagine so hard that you punch the smiley that the smiley actually IS punched a little bit! Positive thinking has succeeded (for 3 damage)!

It tries to imagine-fu you back, but it (he?) is really bad at imagination, so you only get 2 damage and a tingly feeling on your face and upper abdomen!

The smiley, being the HORRIBLE MONSTROSITY it is, decides to tip it over. The whole thing, over, and now nobody even gets to come in from stage left anymore.

Now everyone has to come in from the nondescript rural area that this big white wall was supposed to be blocking from view the entire time. Way to go, smiley.

You attempt to befriend it, but all it can remember is that time you went berserk and barreled into it. No amount of apologies or discount flower vases are going to settle this!

Enraged by how inconsiderate you are, it attempts to throw this weird grayish block at you, but since the smiley's intentions are usually very predictable, you sidestep the attack and take 0 damage.

You pretend to be on its side, and offer it a nice meal to nourish itself with after such a tiring figt. Since you haven't attacked it yet, it has no idea what you're about to do.

As it rests a hand-thing on one of the apples, you run over and throw it into a WORMHOLE TO ANOTHER FREAK'IN DIMENSION!!! that's appeared out of nowhere, and will probably suck up EVERYTHING if it's not plugged fast enough. (Well, it didn't really appear out of nowhere, you just invited it over, since you helped it with its homework back in elementary school a few times and it still owed you a favor.)

Everyone prepares for the smiley and the antimatter to inevitably collide and EXPLODE, but the smiley is too large for the hole, and it just gets stuck! Square peg, round hole, all that. Everyone is relieved and does not question the logic of this situation.
