Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

**** applications. Anyone can write a good application.
Writing something about yourself and why you’re suited to be a mod isn’t a bad idea at all. Signing a contract could be added to that, but I think an aplication would be much more helpful. It also shows you’re mature, and what your experience is.
Pm me with anything math related please

Please write an application for the position as moderator.
There are no contracts btw. at best, you sign an agreement which is something different.

I don't want to lose out on the opportunity to have a valuable community moderator because someone had better English rhetoric skills than the other.

by that token, I don't want anyone who operates this theoretical application reviewing process to actually base things off of "English rhetoric skills" -- If it comes down to that then either the reviewers have nothing to go off of or they should take both. Probably the former.
we should clarify that A) this is still entirely the community putting the cart before the horse and B) the exact idea of "application" we're suggesting.
I think there are two parties: "admins create a form that a bunch of people fill out to apply" as opposed to "random people create resumes and cover letters to apply" -- in this case, you'd have more to worry about with the latter but what if we're all otherwise expecting the former?

We're working on a NDA for current & future staff members.

okay, who are likely doing the mod job with lrussell?
For the time being, we are not recruiting new staff members while we sort things out administratively, but we appreciate your support in this time of change.
The transition isn't complete yet.
