Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

I made 2 type of hazards + complements for EE:

Able to make circles and all kind of figures connecting different parts:

Diagonal Spike:
These spikes have different purposes, mainly they are to fill corners, also works to make a circular spike.
(Need 4 spikes together for the circular spike).

Version B:

A picture to show a graphical demonstration of the 2 type of hazard in action:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I made 3 GIFs to show a graphical demonstration of the 2 type of hazard in action (Saw Blade Animated version):
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(The picture and the GIFs shows the two versions of the Diagonal Spikes, separated in two sections).
(The direction of the Saw teeth could move in the opposite direction instead).
(The Saw-Blades only have one speed option, the speed examples of this topic are only for demonstration).
(The four positions of the Diagonal Spike have the same pixels in all four positions. This item could be a morphable item).
(The Saw Blade items have the same pixels in all four positions respectively. These items could be a morphable item each respectively).
(The Animated Saw Blade items have the same pixels and frames in all four positions respectively. These items could be a morphable item each respectively).
(Morphable items example: S.B corner: 1 morphable. Interior S.B corner: 1 morphable. S.B side: 1 morphable.)

The diagonal spikes... YES!!
I like the diagonal spikes and the 2x2 chain blades but the 'sides' ones look a little peculiar to me but I guess they could work though.
I don't like the vortex's though. They look good, but for some reason I don't really like them :/

The spiral vortex is the only way I can see to make a single hazard item visible and able to look good floating alone and at same time being recognizable.
Seems like a single hazard need movement to be visible, I mean if the main purpose of that specific hazard is to be recognizable from distance and other items.
If you want you can suggest me a way to improve the spiral vortex, I am open to suggestions.

Hazards to original pack, others ~850 Energy?
I just made an example for a possible one block spike, maybe to replace the spiral vortex:
Not sure what one is the best, I guess they all could just be different varients of the same block
Also I would move the diagonal spikes one pixel closer to the walls, as the normal spikes dont have any gap
Edit: Maybe 6 spikes in the block would be better, I might do that in a bit

Seems like the color of the Spiral Vortex is the problem, I will make different colors for the Spiral Vortex.
About the diagonal spike, I made an alternative version without the dark pixels closer to the walls.

Or y'know we could just have a single block sawblade.

a single block sawblade.
There is no enough pixels for a single block full sawblade object.
If you add one piece of the sawblade alone without the contact with any object, then it would be the same as add one spike or fire, they need the contact with other items to be logical, so I was looking for an item able to look recognizable + good looking, taking in count that a single item does not have enough attractive to be alone and recognizable alone, I was looking to fix that issue, and I has found that adding movement to a single item it become more evident, and that way players are able to recognize the item in distance.
The purpose of the Spiral Vortex is:
1) Visible, Recognizable.
2) Independent of any surface.
3) Self-standing.
In this topic I am suggesting a Spiral Vortex.
There could be other possible single item hazard for this purpose.
2) Good looking.
I'm no artist but, this does not look good in any way (IMO) and they dont fit EE's theme. Destroyer123's idea works though, since it fits the theme and is pleasing to look at. But it is your suggestion so I guess I will take my leave.

The Spiral Vortex does not look good
As I said, there are other possible single item animated hazard for this purpose, the animated hazard need to be:
1) Visible, Recognizable.
2) independent of any surface.
3) self-standing.
4) Able to be animated.
I have transferred the Spiral Vortex suggestion to another topic:
http://forums.everybodyedits.com/viewto … 77#p654377
I have created a gif (Some of them are ruined), but anyway. I will add also to the circles above the animation to move around as reall spikes. What I already did was this, but it needs a fix. It's my 3rd picture in gif, so don't expect "awesome" from me. But I'll try to fix it today.
As said I will try to fix that and make the movement for the circles above
don't sawblades rotate? assuming sawblades in europe are the same as in the US
Offline
don't sawblades rotate?
The answer may be tricky, saw blades does not rotate them-self, to make a saw blade rotate you need a power source, for that I used an interior working as a power-saw, the only you can see of the actual saw blade is the saw teeth.
And that is how theoretically the saw blade is able to move and work.
This is very great especially the diagonal spike idea

thanks hg for making this much better and ty for my avatar aswell

i love this i would love to see this in eeu, diagonnal spikes could be good in some situations but mostly the beautiful hazards <3 we need more hazards in game

Lots of effort put into these, and a pretty well done suggestion overall.
However, it would look 10 times better if you knew how to anti-alias, which I think is a priority since you are the graphic designer now.

This post was bumped, it is over 1 year old. He recently got graphic designer so he might've not known that.

His recent works have no anti alias whatsoever either.
