Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

But the thing is, it wouldn't be cluttering
imagine minecraft texture packs. There aren't any new blocks, they just look different
So in modify level, there will be a "choose collectables" selector, where you have a list to choose from.
This will just retexture coins. Nothing more. It will still be only two at a time, and only gold and blue, but just to give a variety on what the player is collecting. Some levels would benefit from this, say it's a themed level, or a remake of an old game.
1. Would you enjoy having EE like this?
2. Again, EE isn't minecraft. And Minecraft can have all uncreative blocks they want, but EE isn't like this.
3. Then everybody will use them all.
4. Why? You have switches and two types that could be used to replace many collectables.
I hope this won't be added to EE

ZeldaXD wrote:I think it would be hard to understand for new players (so many collectables :/). I think we are fine with coins.
again, we wouldn't have more than two at a time, just a retexture per se
It's not about how many we have at a time, it's about explaining them to new players; in the tutorial we teach about coins and blue coins, it would be confusing to tell players "oh there can be notes, rings, blinking dots, flags, music notes, jigsaw pieces, fruits and baloons!". It's too much information for someone new :/. Also, think that coin doors and gates would need a retexture too.
Also, switches and keys are TOTALLY different.

The whole game is a lot to take in nowadays, but I don't think updates should be halted due to that

Yeah, let's not make it worse.
Why not?
This isn't that complicated. It simply changes the look of two blocks in the game. Not even the color. It would take an extra minute for new players to understand, maybe less.

I’d accidentally found this and like to revive the idea of having more collectables. What do you think?
I think, in the modify worlds tab, there should be an option to change your coins into things other than coins. There will still be just blue and gold, and only two collectables at a time, but sometimes my worlds need other collectables, as coins Don't make enough sense. Some other examples might include
-stars
-notes
-rings
-blinking dots?
-flags
-music notes
-jigsaw pieces
-fruits?
-baloonsI would make graphics, but I don't own mspaint. Might download an editing program and make them later though.
this is nice just let us create our own collectables to use still 2 max as we only have 2 now (or 3 if oyu coutn death but hey..) stars very ice idea for mario party an dsome other mrio games
thanks hg for making this much better and ty for my avatar aswell

Green = any NPC
Red = Finite Items (cake, world portals)
Silver = Worlds and gems

it was explained it would not be this way at all.
marcoantonimsantos wrote:1. It's only two coins you can re-texture with blocks in the game. (Don't see why you arranged different graphics)
Coins are enough for this, I see no need of having a bad drawn texture.

Is it cool to see some ugly drawing on the top right of your screen?

Would you wish Everybody Edits levels were all created on MS Paint?

creature are you trolling here. there is just this complete lack of understanding here and it only seems to be you. they wouldn't be using your quick graphics, they would take their time and create something visually pleasant.
