Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Re: Putting together the "Artist pack"

While I did consider using really basic types of blocks for the artist pack collection, I quickly negated that I idea when I figured that the packs are supposed to be for both the artists and the general public who wants a larger variety of themes and blocks with their purchase. Frankly, having another set of basic bricks is just artistically lazy. I could of course do both and please both the artists and the regular player base, I shall look in to what would be the best for everyone.

You should make a basic brick artist pack. Because the artist pack is supposed to have pure colors, right? So what is the point on adding more decorations into it? It ruins the idea of what it's supposed to be. I made my basic bricks to suggest and give an idea on what the Artist Pack should look like. Otherwise adding fancy bricks is, well, different.

Re: Putting together the "Artist pack"

How about gems?

gems2.png
(left to right) sapphire, silver, diamond, gold, garnet, emerald, onyx.

or

gemsa.png

We could do more like teal, aquamarine, peridot, amethyst, etc...

EDIT: How can I fix the bricks? I feel like they don't look right...

Very nice, SmittyW. What all of you guys come up with gives me inspiration as to how I shall go about doing the artist packs. I'm sure none of you mind having the Sci-fi pack becoming a regular shop item alongside the Glass and Factory packs?

Expect new stuff tonight. //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/smile

Re: Putting together the "Artist pack"

What do you mean new stuff? Like an actual in-game update about the hint you where talking about (Hint: http://eeforumify.com/viewtopic.php?id=11784) or just more bricks you think will go in EE?

New artist pack stuff, considering the topic I'm posting in. If I have any more new hints to give you about new features, I will let everyone know in a different topic. //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/smile

Re: Putting together the "Artist pack"

RPG, before this update, can you show us a before and after with the color changes?   that way, people will know what to expect once all of their art gets destroyed.   because frankly, every crew in EE is going to have to go back and rework their art, and thats going to take awhile.

EDIT: OR, can you make it so that only levels made after the update are changed, so that previously made levels can retain their original art?

Um, I clarified in an earlier post that it's not gonna be a game update, just some new artist pack stuff. Unless that's what you were talking about? //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/tongue

You can actually do it yourself. In certain art programs, you can select an area and get a summary of the colors there. That'll tell you.

I don't know how that would work.

We really need more shades of brown and gray. We have some good browns now, but we lack on the darker side.

You just gave me the idea of collectable Minerals/Gems that come in 5/6 colors. +REP

That's why the gem onyx comes in handy since it's a really dark brown color.

Re: Putting together the "Artist pack"

Since people requested a more simple set of colors, here's one that I imagine will be all pure colors:

Comments and feedback? //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/smile

EDIT: Forgot to include the orange blocks in the pile of blocks example, fixed now.

Re: Putting together the "Artist pack"

OOH!   I like this!   I could actually see myself using these, although, they look kinda grainy, they still look GREAT!

Maybe instead of the orangish one, a dark brown one?
EDIT: nvm, dark brown was in sci-fi pack, lol!
