Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

This has been the most eventful 25 minutes of my life. A vote was had and decided, flip coming soon.

The town started becoming unhappy with the laws set about before them. They seemed inconsistent, perhaps irresponsible, and it was clear that if the government had its way, perhaps some of the town would die as a result. One player really stood against these practices. With a glimmer in his eye, Norwee aimed for justice. His speeches moved crowds, and in the end, he was the victor.
So surprised at losing one of their own, the government had no choice but to call this a loss. However, they still had a purpose, and only time could tell if that purpose gets fulfilled.

Wind howls, leaves fall. The world is becoming a safer place, or is it...? Devastated that the villagers would so easily turn on their agents, the government started to reconsider their options. A new note was left on the door of the Mayor, ShadowsEdge.
We demand that whoever is responsible for the deaths of our agents step forward immediately. Punishment will be swift. Failure to act in accordance with law will result in a worse ending.
Player Abiqi has been jailed!
Player Althea's death was successfully predicted to occur last night!
There were two kills last night! Day time begins!

I mean if we reach majority why not ending the day early?
I cannot possibly expect myself to always be around for when a majority is reached to instantly just end the day, and I don't want to have to remember to log on at a random inconvenient point in the day to start the day. It makes the schedule inconsistent for myself but also the players.
Plus it prevents an early majority from causing some players who are in different time zones from being unable to play.

By the way Shadow, why did you confirm so late? You could have claimed at least 12 hours before day end instead of like 5 minutes… Mutant literally almost got away with it.
Because I couldn't just go a night without having a heart attack I guess lmao

With multiple government agents gone, the concern for an unrepresentative few quickly faded, while the growing plague became more and more of a concern. Little did the town know, they just lost an important asset...

The bad end grows closer and closer. Will you let it become inevitable?
ExFabian's death was predicted to occur today.
There were no kills last night! Day time begins!
(Optional Side Quest: It's time to make words sound nice, use sentences that rhyme thrice, and I really said three times not twice. Each sentence in your posts must contain a minimum of three words that rhyme with each other. Near rhymes like lime and wine do not count. Anyone who can fulfill this task will have their role card recolored to the color of their choice, which will appear at the end of the game.)

Now that the Mafia Flagbearer has been lynched, there is no need to eliminate any more Mafia players, unless there is more than one Mafia faction.

@Mini
Consider just asking last non-town role if they want to surrender?
Who said there was just one?

Nine minutes remain. The wind howls. Silence fills the town.
Eight minutes remain as the wind howls on a day soon over.
Seven phases pass by. The dust settles. The wind is no more. The silence is long gone. Evil has won.
Don't misunderstand. These rolecards certainly do say "Mafia".
But let's take a look at what's really going on, shall we?
The true evil lied not in the Plaguebearer, no. The evil was in the plague itself. The "Mafia", as you call them, knew this. They had a plan to prevent the plague from spreading any further.
Here it is, the "Secret Weapon" that was to be used against the plague. Perhaps you understand? If not, let's look back at Mafia 50.
I ran you lot through a gauntlet of trials and tribulations. Some of you did not make it back. And only one of you was discovered to be the Phoenixborn.
You were not crowned the Phoenixborn. You already were the Phoenixborn. Why? Because you showed tenacity through the greatest of dangers. Your livelihood runs through your blood.
You are the key to our survival. The world's survival. Our population could use your tenacity right about now. That's why we dispatched agents to protect you. Under no circumstances could we allow the plague to overcome you.
And yet... we are evil?
Look instead upon yourselves, upon what you all have done.
Mayor, mayor... we thought we could have faith in you. You are an elected official, and yet you've led this town to a vile place.
Did you know that your closest advisor was a murderer? Fastest gun in the west, he pulled his iron sights and shot one of our own, dead, in cold blood. The Undertaker's blood is on his hands.
Did you know one of your own was an impulsive graverobber? Our Undertaker spent so much care to ensure the bodies were given their proper sendoff. And yet your town's own Criminologist just could not seem to follow disease guidelines. They just had to get into contact with the bodies. Do they not understand what could have happened if the plague had been present in those bodies? Well, unfortunately for everyone, now it is.
Oh, but you didn't just create a mob against the guilty. How do you explain your actions? Your own people voted to destroy the Nurse, perhaps the only person that had the right expertise for dealing with a plague, or perhaps the only person capable of saving those your people destroyed.
Your town's very own Sleuth got to work really fast, didn't they? Not only did they refuse to stay home, opening the town to exposure to the plague, they also quickly revealed the identity of one of our agents, calling a mob to destroy them in their entirety.
You all had the power to do the right thing. And yet some of you jumped on the wagon the first chance you got. What were you seeking? Fame? Glory? Wealth? Well, you've certainly found it in this town.
Your own Cop could not be there to control this chaos, to check up on this town. Or they turned a blind eye.
Your people were so close to letting this danger live. A known serial killer.
And your town turnkey let her out of prison, only to be killed in return. What if they were infected? That could have been a one-way ticket to infecting the people that took care of the dead.
The Phoenixborn is not safe. The plague is still out there, and in a town of people so chaotic, she is in more danger than ever before...

Mechanical Notes:
I was too worried about the power of the Oppressor, I overcompensated in favor of town.
Sleuth is an extremely powerful role, if I could do this over again differently I would replace it with an Inspector.
I flubbed the Oppressor's ability. My original intentions were for trials to happen on every even day. As worded, trials would happen starting Day 3, then after that occur every other day. The ability for town to vote skip makes this ability not worth being so afraid of it.
If you want to use this role in future games, consider fixing these issues.
Mafia was never meant to have a Goon, that role wouldve gone to SK.
The experiment with Plaguebearer was interesting. But I would say, it would have been better if it had only applied to living players. In the future, if you want to use this role, I'd consider keeping the ability to target dead players, but no longer require dead players to be infected.
The Coroner/Undertaker roles are really interesting and I'd suggest their continued use. It was really interesting to see the trap of Althea claiming Sentinel, only to get shot and turn off confirmed flips as a "punishment".
The way Hammerer was ruled in this game is so overly complicated. If you as a host want to use Hammerer, just make it so that the vote is only valid if it is the last one.
I feel Semi-open setups are king. The benefit of making the game a little more mysterious, allowing for speculation (like the speculation around there possibly being a Voodoo or an Arsonist) cannot be understated. Though, revealing that there was a Plaguebearer before the game started probably did more harm than good.
With that being said, this game's MVP is ShadowsEdge for redeeming themselves after being killed N1 as Mayor in the last game. Also, that 25 minute long heart attack I got after they revealed as Mayor was some solid gold lmao

I could host something, but i tend to value setups that put more emphazis on play rather than investigations. Which haven’t always been appreciated as much on this forum so idk if i should.
The past few games have been more high power. I'm sure hosting a lower power game would be very fresh right about now, go for it!
