Why not just make the real classics (christmas 2010, new years 2010, spring 2011, halloween 2011, etc.) in the classics tab be gems and make every other seasonal item show up in shop only during that time. No buying when out of season.

This makes so much more sense to me.

What makes those blocks the "real classics"? Why should only those packs cost gems? Or are you just basing that off of Pre-Shoe nostalgia?

Well, 2015/2014 isn't that long ago so it shouldnt be stated as classic. Also they are the original block packs.
I don't have all of these block packs so I am not saying what I want for my own good

Pretty much everything in the shop that's not GM or Beta is ridiculously expensive for what you're getting...
