Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Revert to the previous state of physical coding the game used.

Can't say I like this change. Not that having no delay is bad; simply that it appears that this change makes "accidental" jumps way too likely. I've noticed it myself, and I'm experienced enough to press buttons with precision. A new or inexperienced player might find it happening to them constantly.
A tiny delay might solve the issue, but who knows.

Fixed now. The change has been reverted due to requests by the community.
I'm more worried about the fact that it was removed before 24 hours had passed.
Every update will have yaysayers and naysayers, but you gotta let that kneejerk reaction of resistance to change pass before you make a judgement.
For this update, I am extremely neutral considering how I am terrible at minigames either way, but I worry about the quick revert.

Yeah. The community has been... unusually picky lately *points to Toop's smilies*
I think it's less the community being picky and more the veterans and forum users being picky.

It's changing a core mechanic in the game, that mechanic being jumping. However slight the change may be, its not a good idea to make a change to something like that without a reason.

I agree that it shouldn't have been changed in the first place without careful consideration and deliberation, but that is another worry separate than this one.

It was reverted because it was a change implemented by 1 person without consulting the rest. I think that's a bad idea, so we went for a rollback until we've done some proper testing. This has nothing to do with giving in to people resisting any form of change

It was a horrible change anyway.

Yes, hence the comment: "I agree that it shouldn't have been changed in the first place without careful consideration and deliberation, but that is another worry separate than this one."
Though it is good that the reversion was not due to feedback and rather due to improper testing and deliberation.
