The Pink Hatted Smiley

There is this smiley that I am really confused about. It's not a smiley that is in the game. It's a smiley that is appearing in beta art worlds all the time. (It's not a smiley that we can use, somebody is making it out of blocks. Somebody is making that smiley and I just want to know who made it!

I know I'm like a decade late, but can somebody please clarify this? I've never heard of this and as an aspiring EE historian I must know!

I've talked about this several times aaaaaaa

The original New Years' Smiley hat wasn't purple, it was red with a cyan ribbon. An updated version of that smiley is in Project M (updated only in terms of smiley borders and whatnot, the colors are still true.)

I have absolutely no idea where the purple came from.
