Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Since you're remaking the graphics copied from Mario, have you considered doing anything with the closed doors and gates since those are based off Basic blocks?
Good point, I'll see what I can do

The :l block has the same color and expression than Mario games.
Giving it a different color or chaning the expression might be a good twist, even changing it to more squary or roundish.
As far as I am aware, the fair use of reference images might be problematic for this specific block.
Since the idea is quite the same:
The use is very similar(a block)
The expression is very similar
The colors are very similar
The lighting is very similar
The way the shape/material is represented very similar
Guess which one is from who, the game: (Hidden text near) Yours/Mario/EE
The most similar thing is the color, expression, lighting and perhaps the shape.

Hello Minimania,
I would like to import the Ceramic Tile pack and chocolate pack into my game client (love2d, not directly EE related).
I was wondering if it was possible that you pick an explicit creative commons license for this, so i can point one out?
(Personally i would prefer CC0, but any is probably fine)
Best wishes,
Era

Hello Era, thank you for sharing your interest in my graphics here! It's been an extremely busy month for me, and I still have some things to do for the coming of the New Year, so I'll need some time to mull it over, but I'm thinking about acquiring a Creative Commons Attribution license, which would let... "others distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon your work, even commercially, as long as they credit you for the original creation." (creativecommons.org)
I'll get back to you on this though!

I'm gonna need a Generic Extension to my brain to understand what you just wrote.

Hi, Minimania, the forum tells me that "Gravedigging with a simple reply will result in a warning. "
So i will refrain from using the s word.
Did you think about the CC license? Would be cool if i could include those textures. (Not that it is neccesary, i can ship with just the textures from krock, but yours are pretty cool.)
Best Regards,
Era

I got a Creative Commons license, specifically the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License. You can read it here: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/.

Hey, that license is neat, but it would prevent me from distributing the graphics in the game in e.g the app store on iOS (because of the No additional restrictions thing, same reason the gpl doesn't fly there), and i am not sure how my game would even enforce the atribution, seeing as i send textures over the wire, would you want to have the attribution stored in a world or something? It seems a bit impractical to me (I would add attributions to my source code, in any case, but if they are required everywhere that is a bit harder)

I think having attribution being in the code and maybe a help page or something would probably be enough reasonable enough for me, at least

Hey there Minimania,
Coming back to this I think I want to add these textures to the game as a sort of addon.
To this end I would like to make a git repository with the graphics in a format my game more easily understands
(Basically just as a file structure minimania/packname/texturename, with each texture beeing only *one* texture, and not a whole row)
Before I go and try to extract all the textures from the images at the start of the thread i wonder if you maybe already had them in a format like that, or maybe as a plain strip.

Neat!
It looks like this is all the small variants (16x16) only?
Though the topic now seems to miss the bigger 24x24 versions entirely anyway. WIerd.
Anyway, I'll try to add these to a git repo in a bit that it can be "just" gotten as a zip download for poppy, that is in some categories sorted pretty much,
I am playing with the idea to remove all the background graphics though, they feel a bit pointless to have in my case.
Best Regards,
Era

I can do the 24x24 ones too if you need. I guess I didnt put those ones in, though my topic doesn't have much of a focus on the 24x24 ones in general I suppose.

Entirely fair, but have fun friend

Poppy has a color picker to just make the textures darker, so if you want a darkened background you can just make one *shrug*
The 24X24 ones would be neat, they look nice too!
I have corrected some of your textures (for example ones that had a 4x16 slab in them but a 16x16 textures size and such) and published the git repository here
https://git.gryphno.de/nephele/poppy-textures-minimania
I think it is sorted okayish this way

Hi minimania,
did you have luck with the 24x24 textures? they might be nice for higher resolution monitors.
This is the graphics ingame btw, i think it looks nice although the sidebar needs a bit of work to properly flow over into the next line (and a scrollbar, you just had to make too many graphics for my poor laptop screen)
