Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Still unsure how to play? Make sure you read this thread thoroughly.
- If you think you have assassinated someone, do not mention it in the thread! Instead, PM me on the forums linking me to where you assassinated them. I will then judge whether the situation counts as you getting them to mention your topic. My word is final.
- I will announce all successful assassinations in this thread.
- Do not tell people who your target is and what your mission is. If you are assassinated and have lost the game this rule is especially important as the person who assassinated you will now have your target. Telling people who your target was makes things harder for that player. Don't be salty about losing.
- You must be decently active to play the game. If you don't use the forums for a few weeks or are posting too infrequently you may be automatically assassinated. You should be active on [any part of] the forums a couple of times per week as a bare minimum.
- Do not break forum rules for the sake of this game. If you are banned from the forums it is likely that you'll be automatically assassinated for not being active enough.
- If you think your target is too inactive for you to have a fair chance of assassinating them then PM me on the forums and I will judge whether or not they should be assassinated.

A week has passed since the killings began. And, I don't know about y'all but, I'm having a lot of fun.
It seems 3 agents weren't up to the job as they failed to pick up their mission briefings. Well, either that or they were assassinated long before the year even started
Agents KB (Kirby), KBK (KirbyKareem) and S (Slabdrill) are all dead.
Agents whose job it was to assassinate these punks will be compensated with a new mission.
As a week has passed, I'd also like to clarify something:
- Agents must claim their kills through their PM with me. I will not automatically resolve successful kills.
- Kills must be claimed within 1 week of the qualifying post taking place. So you can't complete your mission and then claim on it 6 weeks later.
Thank you for listening to this service announcement.

If there are still multiple players alive by the end of November 2020 the game will automatically end and restart for 2021.
Welp, the game technically died in January though there have been plenty of assassination attempts since then. When I wake up tomorrow I will share the document I kept of the commentary on this game and open this thread for discussion.
For now, I declare Onjit the winner since he had the most kills. I figured there'd be no activity for this game in November which is why I declared Onjit the winner at the end of October and gave him 1 month of discord nitro as a prize - so congratulations to Onjit for winning the Halloween costume contest!
Given the (usual) lack of activity on the forums, I've decided I won't be hosting this game for 2021. However, I hope activity on either this forum or the EEU forum picks up enough to have the game return in 2022!

Oh yeah I was supposed to make a post here. Would y'all believe me if I said I've not slept in 20 days?
I'd really like to host this again for 2022 as it was incredibly fun to do so but there is definitely not enough activity on the forums for a 2021 game. It seems people forgot about the rule: "If you think your target is too inactive for you to have a fair chance of assassinating them then PM me on the forums and I will judge whether or not they should be assassinated." as pretty much any player could have been assassinated for this since the forums as a whole was so inactive in the latter part of this year.
Within my commentary, I mentioned some topics for discussion once the game is over. These are the main ones that I'd like to open this thread up for discussion on:
1. Should I continue to announce what post got someone killed? This is a problem as it means if the person killed was too obvious about their target then it will be much harder for their killer to get the next kill. My opinion is that I may as well announce this as it would be fairly easy to work out which posts could have got someone assassinated and it's just generally more fun to do so.
2. Should players be able to send in guesses for who they think their own assassin is and what their topic is? If they correctly guess both their assassin and their assassin's topic then their assassin is killed as a form of 'self-defence'. This would make players want to be less obvious as it risks getting themselves killed. If yes, how should this mechanic work? I personally think each player should get 1 opportunity to do so (per person trying to kill them) and that there should be no penalty for a wrong answer.

I don't currently plan on hosting the game in 2021 - but if activity picks up on the forums then I will consider hosting later in the year if there is enough interest.
Also, the topics are not rediculous. They are all related to EE and have/do occur in regular conversations. The difficult part is then engaging your target in that conversation. You will need to think of smarter or more subtle ways of doing that

Just wanted to bump this to say that this forum game was one of my favourites, it was a lot of fun
Aww thanks <3
I just wish I came up with the idea sooner. Can you imagine playing it back when the forums were truly active? This kinda just stagnated after the first month, albeit people were still trying to get kills. I hope there will come a time when I could host something like this again.

My heart when Onjit bumps a thread:
One bot to rule them all, one bot to find them. One bot to bring them all... and with this cliché blind them.

Oh yeah, if we played this even a few years earlier it would have been amazing
