Should I get EEU beta access?

Hey guys, I used to play EE in 2011 and it was my favorite game when I was a kid. I eventually stopped playing and a few days ago, 9 years later, I remembered about the game and logged in. It felt very nostalgic and I had so much fun, but I noticed there wasn't many users online and the game was dying. I started looking up to any info I could get about the game and then I found out about EEU closed beta and that I could get access to it. But still I had some questions about it and here I am.

So, I got really excited to buy the beta access because 1) my favorite childhood game is going to survive and I could help on it development even tho I don't have enough money to support on patreon and 2) I could help my anxiety getting access to the closed beta lol. But I know EEU been in development since 2018 and I didn't knew it was worthy buying the beta access. Like, it's been 2 years... Should I wait to open beta to release? Is the EEU being developed right now or it's in hiatus? How many beta users are?

So basically, it's still worthy to get the closed beta access today?

You would see changes of EEU and such. You could also following Game Business and read around there.

It's not many users that play EEU either. I have only found around 0 to 3 people. But it's always empty in the EEU game.

It's not worth it yet. There's not enough players to make it interesting, and there probably won't be until open beta, soo... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

EDIT: But if you’re doing it to help development, as if you’re funding a kickstarter, then go for it.

I would suggest that you spend money on food and necessities rather than fund a game that has already had tons of money thrown at it.
