Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Gravity layer would be a way to rotate blocks, and add gravity to action blocks (like spawns, checkpoints or one-way blocks (EEU portals too))
In EE you have to click the block few times to rotate (morph) it to expected state and for many blocks (like grass block) it's impossible to rotatate it.
Here Gravity layer is approaching:
With gravity layer you could rotate block only by placing gravity arrows over.
You would be able to change gravity on the spawn.
With one-way blocks, portals and half blocks could work a bit different. These blocks have gravity property and morphable function property separated, so we could change thier gravity property with gravity layer, but rotation as morphable.

I really don't think you should tie gravity to block rotation. The rotation is purely visual and shouldn't be restricted based on the gravity of that block.
I like the concept of a gravity layer because currently action blocks without collision such as keys, spawn points, switches etc. have downwards gravity and there is no way to change that, so it becomes awkward to use those blocks in minis with a lot of arrows. However, this would need to be shown visually somehow, otherwise there is no way to know the direction of gravity on these action blocks.

you can alreayd use gravity effect but whatever if we want arrod non top of them we should need to know ehetr its aplied and what the acion block is and th eid of switch/door ect (if you wanna put it on a gate)
thanks hg for making this much better and ty for my avatar aswell
