Mafia 42 Sign Ups

No gimmicks. Just a regular game of mafia that hopefully isn't too lopsided.

I was gonna meme the **** out of this game, but I've never hosted one before, so I decided to take this seriously.

The plan is for a 3:7:1 setup, so I'll need 11 players.

Suggestions are welcome. You'll have to bare with me, since my schedule can sometimes be unpredictable.

Players:

2. Crybaby
3. 2B
4. Kira

Godfather
[Player Name], you are a Godfather

Your teammates are [Player Name] and [Player Name]. You may communicate with them at [QuickTopic link].

Abilities:
Once per night phase, you may choose one player to kill.

You will appear as innocent if inspected by the Sheriff.

Win condition:
You win when the mafia holds majority in the town.

Framer
[Player Name], you are a Framer.

Your teammates are [Player Name] and [Player Name]. You may communicate with them at [QuickTopic link].

Abilities:
Once per night phase, you may target one player to frame. If your target is investigated they will appear to be a member of the mafia.

If the Godfather is killed, you will become the new Godfather.

Win condition:
You win when the mafia holds majority in the town.

Mafia Goon
[Player Name], you are a Mafia Goon.

Your teammates are [Player Name] and [Player Name]. You may communicate with them at [QuickTopic link].

Abilities:
You have no nightly abilities.

Win condition:
You win when the mafia holds majority in the town.

Vanilla Townie
[Player Name], you are a Vanilla Townie.

Abilities:
You have no nightly abilities.

Win condition:
You win when all threats threats to the town are eliminated.

Sheriff
[Player Name], you are a Sheriff.

Abilties:
Once per night phase, you may check one player to determine if they are "suspicious" or "seems innocent".

Win condition:
You win when all threats to the town have been eliminated.

Doctor
[Player Name], you are a Doctor.

Abilities:
Once per night phase, you may protect one player from being night killed. You can only protect against one night kill per night. You cannot protect yourself.

Win condition:
You win when all threats to the town have been eliminated.

Veteran
[Player Name], you are a Veteran.

Abilities:
You may choose to go on alert each night, three times in total. You will kill anyone who visits you while on alert.

Win condition:
You win when all threats to the town have been eliminated.

Roleblocker
[Player Name], you are a Roleblocker.

Abilities:
Once per night phase, you may choose one player to roleblock, preventing them from performing their night action. Your target will be told they were roleblocked.

Win condition:
You win when all threats to the town have been eliminated.

Serial Killer
[Player Name], you are a Serial Killer.

Abilities:
Once per night, you may choose one player to kill.

Win condition:
You win when you are the last man standing.

is sk town sided or mafia sided?

can mafia goon kill? (in most standard games mafia goons tempt to do the faction kill)

can framer use its ability if godfather is dead?

what if framer and godfather are dea dbut goon is still alive?

alos are all roles used (once but vanila townies mutltiply times)

Isn’t SK basically just a vigilante miller since he sides with town and not himself? That’s not really what i’d describe as a SK role.

Since SK is pro-town it is in his interest to claim immediately since mafia could fake claim the role otherwise. And him claiming increases the chance for town and himself to win in the end.

Because SK coulf counterclaim and then town would know to lynch one of the two. Which is a dumb strategy for mafia.

This SK is pro-town so there is no reason for town to kill SK. It says "you win when threats to town are eliminated" unless this is a mistake by Jawapa, it is a pro-town role.

Wait a minute it doesn't say SK is immune to night kills in their rolecard
That poses a risk for SK to claim/counterclaim

sk cliqaming doesnt really benefit town at all becuase if you put docotro on him all nights and doctor dies its a loss for SK th enext night atleast mafia doesnt have an cop the veteran does have an intrest in claiming tho sinnc ehe can kill whoeever visist shoim 3 times

Wait a minute it doesn't say SK is immune to night kills in their rolecard

I know the SK is normally immune, but I feel like that makes it lopsided.

There's a lot of killing roles in this game.

ah now SK is true neutral does SK win if all mafia is dead but not all town? does SK win if mafi ahodl majority but SK is still alive? how does SK's wincondition work?

The sk has a normal win condition.

They win if everyone else is dead, or theres a situation where that's inevitable.

It just dawned on me that there is a potential issue. If the sk and godfather target each other... who dies.

Either the sk or godfather should be night immune.

You'd think this was my first time every playing this game
