Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Re: ByteArray's weekly development vlogs!

We now have portals in EEU! Their behavior is highly experimental and subject to change, so be sure to let us know what you think. //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/big_smile
The video didn't show them in action since they were still being fine-tuned while I was making the video. //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/tongue

What happens to the trophy block? Does it still function as a win block?
You can make secret endings using crown block? Also, thinking about making your own win message when they touch a crown block or a trophy block

We'll planning on reserving the trophy for use as an award for building contests in the game and such. Custom win messages do sound like a good idea, definitely something to consider.

Re: ByteArray's weekly development vlogs!

I wonder how EEU will handle rare cases like players jumping into random worlds and immediately sending messages and few moments, leaves the world and jumps to the next world, does the message again and same process. These messages can be anything, adverticing, offensive, Nsfw, etc. Because of this, there's not enough time to react to report the player jumping worlds sending quick messages and leaves and jumps to the next world.

I've also found it pretty annoying that you can no longer do things like that or kicking people with the 5 minute timeout thing if they leave before you're able to do it. It'd probably make sense to allow you to do those sorts of things after the player has left the world, either by recording which players left recently or allowing you to do it by right clicking on a message in chat or something.

There wasn’t a new vlog today, they’re probably getting ready for the new grand update

Re: ByteArray's weekly development vlogs!

Hey guys!

Obviously there was no video last week, and that was because I was really busy with trying to wrap up the EEU update I had been working on for quite a while. I had intended to try to get the update out Sunday morning and release my vlog later in the day, but the update actually ended up taking until Thursday (and I spent Friday making a bugfix update). But it's done now! //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/big_smile

Re: ByteArray's weekly development vlogs!

Wil there be zones that forces zoom in or out in worlds?

The main problem that could potentially come from forcing being zoomed out is that for some players, zooming out does cause a drop in FPS. An option to disable zooming out entirely could work though, and it's something we're considering. //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/smile

I officially refuse to ever play EEU. The HTML5 is a disaster and I don't trust it at all.

Could you explain why you think that? We might be able to help by explaining or clarifying some things.

It's Piotr, he can't use any technology made after 1999.

Ofc, can't trust anything that isn't tested by two decades of usage

That's why I now attempt to make C++ software. After all, if the -O3 flag is set, the collective efforts of thousands, if not millions of people will make the resulting native Microsoft Windows x86 code run very fast and sustain the required 60fps.

Edit: tetrisimplementation.netlify.app . I quit Github permanently

Piotr, Tomahawk said just before your post not to have this conversation here. If you're looking to debate HTML5 vs Flash or whatever, we have an entire Debates subforum. Or you can just keep it in PMs. This is a verbal warning, please stay on topic.
