when exactly are you allowed to double post?

its unclear when you may double post or when you need toedit the last post (exept inmafi agames where it is clear that you MAY double post)

To be honest, I've never really put too much thought into double posts. If I feel like what I have to say deserves its own post I'll just make the post regardless of if I have the ability to edit the previous post or not. The purpose of the double post rule is to A) prevent spam and B) stop people from artificially boosting their post count. As long as the 2nd post doesn't fall into either of those motives and is clearly adding to discussion I see no reason why it shouldn't be allowed - even if the 2nd post is only hours or minutes after the first (unlike what Tomahawk suggests).
