Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Please, walk up to your mum, and thank her.

There are too many reasons why you should be thanking your mother. Sure, you all have your own story and past.

However, she will never forget, until the day she dies you randomly walking up to her, thank her and give her a hug. Make that person happy for being so selfless.

Re: Please, walk up to your mum, and thank her.

My mom cheated on my dad multiple times during my childhood, neglected us and fled the country a year ago to meet a guy who later threatened her life until she got deported back to Canada. She took plenty of money from my dad to make her way back across the country. He accepted her back as they were together for 20+ years, and shortly thereafter she had a psychotic meltdown (now diagnosed schizophrenia), she left and is now with another guy. To this day she makes excuses for her behaviour and none of us want her back in our lives.

So, no thank you. The moral of the story is, just because they're your family doesn't mean they deserve respect. The day she dies I will personally visit her grave to **** on it.

Re: Please, walk up to your mum, and thank her.

My mom cheated on my dad multiple times during my childhood, neglected me, abused my father and me, and fled to Washington state over a decade ago to flee her responsibility of taking care of me and meet a neo-nazi skinhead whom she later had 3 kids and moved to Florida with. My dad bought her everything she wanted and even paid for her plane ticket to Washington because he couldn't bear to watch her sell her possessions for less than they were worth. My father ended up dying of cancer, and one of our biggest concerns was that she'd come back into our lives and take everything since they never were truly divorced. This almost happened. She is diagnosed bipolar, and she protects her schizophrenic mother who too is abusive. To this day she makes excuses for her behavior, and I neither want her back in my life nor intend to make any contact with her other than formal soon since she is highly manipulative and uses any attachment with herself by others as a chance to make whatever victim emotionally dependent on her.

So, no thank you. The moral of the story is, just because they're your family doesn't mean they deserve respect. The day she dies I won't even know where her grave is. She doesn't matter in my life anymore.

Re: Please, walk up to your mum, and thank her.

Is this a theme?
Don’t want to go into too much details but my mom is pretty much the same as Atilla’s. She constantly get’s new boyfriends that abuse her, and she’s also a shizo bastard that does nothing but complain and rant to the people that genuinely try to help her. She had no money and was allowed to live and eat together with my grandpa whom i’ve lived with for the past 12 years and she spent every god damn day here **** about how he had "ruined her life" and was the cause of the "police harassing her" etc etc **** schizophrenia rants. Meanwhile my father is a heavy drug addict who’s also diagnozed with shizophrenia it’s freaking ridicolous, and basically it’s so bad for him that i barely even see him since he’s put into forced confinement in a mental hospital almost constantly. So whenever i see people say **** like "be grateful to your parents and family!" "Say something nice to your dad!" Etc i actually just get depressed cus there’s really not that much positive i have to say about them.
This thread really didn’t need another negative sad story, but i had to let this out of my system and this was a nice opportunity.

Re: Please, walk up to your mum, and thank her.

what we all need is a good rehab, sooner the better.

when you are born, it should be done in an rehab with doctors etc, when you study, it should be a school that is also a rehab.

and finally when you get a job WORK FOR THE REHAB.

etc
