Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Abandoned Projects

Now that EE is somewhat kinda coming to a close, what are some levels you never finished? What are some ideas that never came to fruition?

I'll start:

Loved - flash game Loved required extensive amounts of modtext but never came back to it when i became a mod
Prior - also a flash game Prior
Dating Simulator - not a flash game, but it was going to have Benjaminsen as one of the possible people to date https://everybodyedits.com/games/PWiKb8EUBpa0I // https://everybodyedits.com/games/PWgMhA_dBvb0I
Pokemon Crystal - with choosable pokemon types! https://everybodyedits.com/games/PW3tYWoyX5cEI
Ides Of March - A swaggy retelling of Shakespeare's Julius Caesar, except signs were limited and I didn't have enough. 2012ish btw. https://everybodyedits.com/games/PW5G3GTIQbb0I

What else, what else.

There's also the rabbit squad that I made with dylantherabbit and imgood9. We have a level in the summer campaign. :^)

So what are y'alls never-finished stuff?

admittedly i edited 1 level out of this post because i realized no one cared and no one would especially care about that specific one

Re: Abandoned Projects

Rotate - i wanted to update it to have single world levels but probably i won't be adding more levels, because amount of energy and work
still i want to have time to make it one world, because now i have much more portals than when i started the project
to update list:
- add stop movement section to all levels (now only some have it)
- make all level one word only
- buy bigger worlds
- make "fun" with portals and world portals, that is quite slow

link

i haven't time because my other project :/

Re: Abandoned Projects

! - ?? - a level with weird movement that only uses gray basic blocks and gravity arrows

A - Banjo Kazooie - my oldest WIP level (and it shows), an attempt at an entire recreation of Banjo Kazooie in a great world. Started in 2011.

A - Blackbird - A recreation of the Chrono Trigger "Blackbird" stage. Would have had a neat inventory system, with an emphasis on stealth (have to stay away from enemies' line of sight). Started in 2015

A - Cabbage - Random large world project I started with iPwner and Muffin one afternoon, then it was never really touched. It has that distinct iPwner charm

A - Coop - This was intended to be a very puzzling Coop level. None of the minis were going to be particularly difficult to execute, just incredibly challenging to figure out.

A - ML - A ridiculously difficult Nerd Level with art based on "Magus' Lair" from Chrono Trigger. Thwink and I did the minis, and Homura did the art in the level. This one is pretty close to done.

A - SB - "Snake Boss", has an orange global switch system at the top that goes to 999 and room for 4 challenges to be made with the system. Was fun to make, but probably wouldn't be that fun to play.

A - TERT - literally just a sketch lol, was going to be a full remake of Terraria, but with creative liberties taken to actually make it fun in EE

A - Tram% - a remake of the Tony Hawk's Underground 2 Easy Story Speedrun

A - URC - Was a submission Jet, Tony111, and I were making for that one random Underwater Ruins contest that Oray hosted. Art was pretty neat.

A - VGM2 - Music level that's really really close to done. Has Shovel Knight main theme, Bowsers Inside Story final boss, SMO Wooded Kingdom, some Run song by Xeno, some other song by xeno, yep

Mine is Invictus
It's based on a similar undertale battle system but very different
I stopped because I've gotten portal switch problems along with on how portals like throw you to different unwanted positions

Ori~
Two Worlds
Ski Centre

These are worlds I would have wanted to finish, but I'm a rather lazy person in the end. In addition to these I have a huge amount of world ideas which I never even bothered to start working on. Maybe in EEU I will.

I'm actually a bit surprised that I haven't seen many top down worlds after the no-gravity effect was added.  I'd imagine them being really fun, and the art style looks really nice on EE as well. I guess it's just because people don't really make worlds anymore.

Re: Abandoned Projects

Don't Look Back - a concept level where as you go forward the blocks in front of you build but blocks behind you disintegrate. For the most part it works, I just didn't have the drive to continue.

Maelstrom - a bot-assisted level where it was supposed to be like EX Shift, but every minigame was animated instead of just sitting there. The bot supported block deletions/builds so you could make animations with them. I found this to possibly revolutionary but the amount of effort to construct every minigame / gameplay mode was too much (one of my built minigames was a cave that had the following modes: rising/lowering water, rising/lowering lava, roaming hazards, breeze, and others) The bot was based on animations, but it didn't support a Shift-style format. To add to that this was going on at around 2016-2017 when EE was deadish.

Baconland but with Global Switches - Baconland from 2010 was a world where after completing a minigame or two you trigger a key that changes the gameplay for other players. With so many options and global switches added, the implications would be huge and again would possibly inspire worlds to come. Too lazy and hardly got to work on it.

Numerous art worlds - too lazy, felt uninspired

Find the Object! - a map where you look for a certain block/background/action tile/decoration in a given box space, and go through portals to select your choice. Later you would need to find up to 3, 4, and 5 objects per box. Inspired by a Spot the Difference level I played.

Cards Against Humanity - I didn't think it was possible so I didn't pursue it.

Wario Land 3 remake - couldn't come up with a function to: throw something to break blocks, break blocks by running into them or stomping/headbutting them and others so I didn't pursue

And others

Re: Abandoned Projects

60 Seconds to save the Queen - An expansion to a previous level I made with the same title based on the flash game of the same name, this expansion was going to have more rooms, secrets and longer gameplay. It's 3/4 done but then I lost motivation, I will probably continue it in EEU.

Desu - A Bot-Assisted Level, a remake of the game Puzzle n' Desu in EE. It's a puzzle game, I have actually turned it on a bunch of times, but the story mode and many features remain unfinished. Will also probably retake it in EEU.

DUNG COMP - Random dungeon generation using EE Computer

MAFIA - Bot-Assisted Level to play mafia in EE

BLOCK DASH - Yet another unfinished Bot-Assisted Level, 8 players in an arena where they can move a block that dashes until it hits a wall, to kill someone you had to "dash them".

BOMBERBOT - Bomberman Bot-Assisted Level, not much to explain

XMAS - A christmas level where you play the role of santa, you have to decide which kids you give coal to and which kids get a gift, you go down their chimney and go to their christmas tree to place the gift, but you need to make sure nobody sees you.

Test clock - A digital clock using global switches, only seconds work.

Re: Abandoned Projects

Just Keep Moving - You have low-grav and 0-jump, you gotta swim through arrows pretty much. https://everybodyedits.com/games/PW1s3QJBAvcUI

Travatopia - Your standard EE RPG. It was ok, but eventually got dropped. https://everybodyedits.com/games/PW5-7PwXg8cEI

Slow-er-coaster - Large AFK machine that takes up a whole 110x110 world. https://everybodyedits.com/games/PW_srPRUawbkI

Huge Parkour & Huge Dropper - Two blue-themed worlds about well, parkour and dropper. Both were scrapped and eventually cleared.

Some Rollercoaster - Red-themed boost-centered 100x100 rollercoaster world. Again, unfinished. https://everybodyedits.com/games/PWbPngxG6NbkI

Rainbow Septagon - A world with the concept of going through 7 50x50 areas with each one having a different color scheme and theme. https://everybodyedits.com/games/PWDBMPuR-GbkI

Game Of Ur - Bot-assisted level recreating the Royal Game Of Ur in EE. Most of the interface was finished, but none of the gameplay. https://everybodyedits.com/games/PWzxY7Z_s8cUI

Minigame Mania - A bot-assisted boss-to-win thing. It was actually almost fully functional, but I never got it to work properly. https://everybodyedits.com/games/PW1SKtPRZ7bkI

Raceway Run - No-grav race. Though you could probably consider it finished, it was intended to be much longer. https://everybodyedits.com/games/PW9cq8rd3Zb0I

some wip thing - An older scrapped version of Rainbow Septagon, where each colored area was connected, and the whole world was collectively kingdom-themed. https://everybodyedits.com/games/PWzePsLGJOcEI

Hidden Maze - A 12x10 maze taking up an entire 300x300 world, where you can only see one cell at a time. https://everybodyedits.com/games/PWm8aswBzYbkI

aqueh - I'm.. not entirely sure what this was supposed to be, I think it would've just been an aqua-themed parkour level? https://everybodyedits.com/games/PWfOlRxTQ1cUI

Thingy? - Again, I don't remember what this was meant to be, maybe a calculator? https://everybodyedits.com/games/PWCwmbnJCnbkI

whew, that was a mouthful

Re: Abandoned Projects

Every world i made with rocktheworld314 that isn't currently done:
Mountain of Faith - Sequel to Subterranian Animism. We designed it badly so we decided it'd just be remade in EEU.
Minigame Incremental - A game where clearing minigames gives points, so you can spend those points on upgrades like effects or things that affect your coin gains. This is almost done, but it's missing a few minis.
Spellcards, Please - A touhou-themed remake of Papers, Please. The system works, it's just that we never got to placing the signs.
The Secret Seller - Inspired by Infinite Journey; your goal is to get as powerful as you can after 28 rooms so you can partake in a battle tournament. The battle system is unfinished because there's too many special cases to add.
Colorswap - A team-based puzzle world, where you can enter a portal to swap your team between two colors. We ran out of ideas for the last part.
(i forgot the name of this one lol) - Just a standard hard-extreme doublejump platforming world. Could still work on it, if rock ever wants to make levels.
The Last Prism - A key rush tower. Way too hard.
Marisa's Magic Box - Inspired by a team maze puzzle by Whatter, but with the added twist of having mystery tiles that do different things in different levels (note: it's really obvious what they do in all the levels except level 1). I still want to finish this one.
Reimu's Silver Key - A "dodge the coins" level. I have no idea what happened to it. Also not actually very complete I think.
(I forgot the name of this one too) - An illusion-style level. All the solutions are totally **** but don't rely on any glitches. Also not actually very complete I think.
Dilemma - A world that has portals where you can pick one effect that you want out of it. Puzzles were generally made to only have one effect per portal actually work, but that wasn't the case so I added some blue coins. (~60% complete? I think?)
...and more, but they have less completeness than these ones.

100 CRAPPY MINIS - 100 (er, well, 31 since that's all I got done) 30x30 minis that are all way too hard. Also included a coin in each mini that was even more impossible.
A couple minor worlds with Kirby. Neither of them got very far. (One was a sequel to their world "Lost", the other was trying to mimic kaizo levels in SMW.)
E. Flip Notes! - An attempt to remake Fantasy Explorer Nitroid in EE. It didn't work very well, so I stopped midway through World 2.
i think i had a zombie world somewhere??? idk
CM Advent Calendar - One of the installments of my Campaign Minis worlds I did a while back. I got lazy after 23 and never made the last two.
Coffee Break Puzzles 2 - Some easy (and not-so-easy) puzzles, made with Keyouman.

I probably missed some, but I can't really check my worlds list right now.
