A hazard block, if you touch it, u are unable to move and you slide to the opposite of the direction you hit the block, basically nograv effect after u touch it but you are not permitted to move, and after some seconds it kills you like a curse
to prevent this hazard, there is another block which stops the effect. If the player hit the hazard and slides to that hazard remover block, then the hazard is cancelled and curse is removed and the player is permitted to move again
EDIT: there could be an option if it is a hazard or not?

But wouldn't you just run into the block, get the curse that makes you go to the direction of the block and then you are stuck? It's like a spike except longer.

yes, it makes the player move forward from the direction he entered the block, ex: the player hits the block from its right side => he gets pushed to the left with the amount of force applied at the hit. ex: if you hit it not at full speed, it will push u not that far, if you go full accel then it will push you the furthest. i edited the topic and it says that it could be without the curse effect, just the same thing, it pushes you, but it won't kill you and instead, after u get pushed u can move again

So it's like you bounce? On a trampoline if you jump low and then land you don't go high afterwards either, but if you jump higher and go down faster you go up faster. And then when the bounce away stopped your controls stop working for a few seconds. But what if you, like peace said, land on top and keep falling on it?
