Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Mafioso Effect

DO NOT DISCUSS IN THE THREAD THE FORUMS MAFIA, THIS IS OFF-TOPIC AND YOU WILL BE BANNED BY ONJIT

And this topic is not about it!!

What "RPG" effects do we have?

Zombie: Infects other players with your time.

Curse: Gives other players your time, "heals" you.

I am suggesting the Mafia Effect: You will be "infected" - but only the players whome you touch will die, you won't.

You can set "Mafia Color" to all of the 7 ones: R, G, B, C, M, Y and none.

Mafias of one team can't not kill each other.

Killing Rules:

If you go onto another player from the top: He gets killed you won't.
If you are on an equal height: No-one gets killed.

Like seriously, we NEED RPG IN EE.

no we dont

why would you even call it mafioso, there are lots of games not related to mafia at all that utilize this killing mechanic (mario is the first one that comes to mind)

unless EEU is going to have top quality netcode, this will be a huge mess if players simply start holding space
you'd have to detect collisions between players, count in the latency and synchronization between players
look at how curse and zombie effects are a complete mess when slight lag kicks in and players run around in random directions
now you also have to count in the position of both players at the moment when they collide and determine which one is above another, if they're not at the same height
now what if they use gravity effect or arrows? what if they have a different gravity direction??

EEU will be written on html5 and the newest javascript libraries, isn't that a non-laggy system?

No, communications between an external server will always have latency, It doesn't matter what type of technology is used.

Right. But still I think this isn't the case where it would take years to check, right?
