Would anyone be interested in a game of Mafia?

I'm posting this here because 95% of you ignore forum games and wouldn't see this otherwise - feel free to move this diff if it bothers you.

I've been thinking of running a game of Mafia here with some interesting custom roles etc and I was just wondering what the interest level was like on the forums, as I'm not going to bother if theres not many people interested, and depending on how many people want in will factor into how i make the roles

It'll be a simple enough game with open roles (no stupidly complex roles or anything)

So just post below if you'd be interested or have any questions.

So it looks like theres not enough intrest to really justify trying to set up a game, which is a shame because I was kind of looking forward to getting into Mafis on the forums again.

I'll keep an eye on the thread for a while longer, but it's not looking good

yeah 6 people isn't enough to run a game tbh, but I'll start making some roles etc because perhaps people would join when i actually make signups (kinda doubt it though)

alright we have enough people where i think its actually worth running a game

current plan is that the game will have last minute signups/reminder on around the 12th and the game will start on around the 16th so zumza can have time (and so i have time to get it set up etc)

If you do a search in the forums for mafia, we've had about 15 or so games in the past, and that will kind of give you an idea of what it will be like

but like raphe said, theyre very similar: everyone has a role, and some of the players are on a separate team. every day people vote to eliminate a player and at night the other team chooses a townsfolk to eliminate. repeat until eother the mafia has a majority or the mafia is eliminated

this game of mafia that im planning is going to be slightly different but will essentially be that formula

nothing solid yet, still working it out - might post a draft to discord/here beforehand so people can have a look & give feedback. I'm not going to make it too weird or experimental like i have in the past, but I'm going to also try to not make it super vanilla either

Here is a link to a Google Doc where I'm writing up the potential setup for the game. Let me know what you think, there's definitely a few tweaks that could be made to balance the teams, but I think that it should be quite interesting

Again, any questions or feedback, I'm happy to work this out, because I want this to be a game that you guys want to play as well haha
