Yeah and I'm talking about the new moderator specifically
Cercul is fine, I've seen him on the forums occasionally and some people know him, plus a dev is pretty much behind the scenes work
As for the grand guy, his work is much more community related and as such a moderator has to know the community and vice versa
Not only this is the first time many of the people ever heard his name, he doesn't even seemingly have a forum account and it's been 3 days and he still did not introduce himself???

You dont need to be highly involved in the community to file reports and ban people. As long as they are active in-game they will do just fine.

I don't understand the argument behind hiring your friends. It's xeno's project, if he wants to work with people that he's more likely to get along with, so what? The people who didnt get hired have full rights to make their own project. (Which, for all you know could turn out better than EEU)

You dont need to be highly involved in the community to file reports and ban people. As long as they are active in-game they will do just fine.

I haven't really seen anyone suggesting that they shouldn't be hired because they're unknown to the community. The only criticism I've seen is how Xenonetix has responded since he fired three of his staff in one night.

I'd still like to know the reasons why he fired Phinarose.
The only explanation I've seen is from an image of him PMing her that he cannot have someone who "disagrees with my style of management." and I asked him directly on Sunday with no response.

If Phina wants to talk to me about coming back, she’s welcome to do so, but she hasn’t fought for her position at all. Luke did fight for his position, and got his position back. Phina was an exceptional and excellent moderator, and I would welcome her back in a Moderation only capacity, but she was not able to act well enough as team leader, and she agreed with that.

I asked her and she didn't get any message from Xenonetix asking her to come back, and that isn't very surprising considering he apparently wants her to "fight for her position" which I suppose means begging him and stroking his ego, and then he'll consider adding her back to the team at a lower rank for her terrible actions which consist of telling him that he's acting unprofessionally by ranting on the Discord server after firing 2 developers.

They do. If you don't get along with people in a superior position to you in a job then you can bet your **** that you won't be there for long. Either because you've been 'let go' or moved to a different position.

ofc he doesnt want her back that mcuh otherwise he diddnt fire her he is only welcoming to get her back to a lower position if she wnts but she diddnt figth at all she couldnt inmediatly start complaining

At least Xeno can tell people both privately and publically the reasons he supposedly fired me. Not once did he ever message me giving me specific reasons for my firing and he never brought up any issues that would cause him to fire me, nor did he ever give me any warnings. This leads me to believe that really the only reason he fired me was because of the comments I made on Discord disvowing his behavior.

Phinarose, regardless of claiming I don't see her doing my job, repeatedly told me what I need to do. The search in her private messages came up with up to 41 results of instances of where she was telling me what "I need" to do in order for me to do my job. There are at least 3 instances of her telling me I need to fire her, all of which I declined to do so, and no one else has done such a thing.

Fighting for the position has nothing to do with ego. As I said in one of those above screenshots, if I do 1 action for every 700 she's doing, that's hardly doing her job for her. She was unfairly demanding a lot of me, and clearly never agreed with how I was running things. We repeatedly had the same conversations about this over and over again with no signs of ever stopping.

At no point has Phina attempted to speak to me directly or privately since she was fired, which suggests to me that the job is not as important to her as she has previously made it out to be. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, but if she wants to come back as a moderator only, she's welcome to do so, but we simply cannot work together with Phina as the team leader.

But those are things you DID need to do. It's not a question of orders, it's a question of common sense from someone that didn't want you to make things worse. By not taking her advice, you have to admit that you did. No reason she has to talk to you professionally anyway when you're acting unprofessional because, as a boss, you are implying the matter is either not professional enough to warrant the highest up to be professional or that you blindly contradict yourself, something that can very easily demoralize staff. Please note that 'need' also means something is the best course of action to take or that the situation is urgent. You really shouldn't be doing the moderators' jobs anyway since you showed with you lashing out at Gosha, Luke, and Phina that you're under enough stress already. It can be very demoralizing for your higher-ups to do your job for you because it sets forth a notion that they are not trusted, on the brink of being fired, or not valued. I'm sure many of us have experienced that job before, and I've lived to see the people above **** everything up because they don't know what they're doing or just shouldn't be doing it.

By the way, not begging for your job back isn't a sign of lack of dedication. People don't generally come back to their own employer begging to be rehired after all. It's usually the other way around if anything. You said it yourself that you fired her for saying what you need to do and for her constant disagreements. If I were her, I'd consider it a lost cause to try to fight for my title back if I lost it for fighting for what I felt was right. You put her in position of team leader, so I'd see it as her job to give input to you and other staff of issues regarding the game. As far as I see it, it's an ego thing no matter if you think so or not because it is displaying the fact that you think that she should have to come back to you because fighting for her position is the most important matter at hand.

I'm not saying a demotion is unjustified or that she was completely innocent in everything she did, but you, as the face of the game, are the one to be held accountable for this. I'm not saying that's fair, but the community thinks of you when they think about the future of this game. You've done well in hiring new staff, you have valid reasons for being upset, and you have done great things for this game. That being said, you are prepping this game to become something much bigger. Our little community is harsh enough since it is bitter from previous owners and failed promises, but a bigger community will be harder to manage and will cause hoaxes, mass controversies, etc.. These are things you'll need to prevent if (hopefully when) this game becomes bigger because the community will not change its mind.

I hope you don't think I'm hating on you because I wouldn't be dedicating all this time to a stupid post if I didn't think that it could, in some way shape or form, help you to be even better at managing the game. You can go very far, but some issues do need to be addressed to make sure this debacle doesn't happen again.

Times have changed, people that supported your words in the past slowly lost respect for you after seeing what you've done to the game. Some people are bringing up that unknown does not mean bad, but I don't actually see anyone specifically calling the new staff members bad. It's just the idea of bringing in a random that no one has heard of which is bad. Obviously they might be good, but if no one's ever heard of them and they're not on the forums, why did xeno bring them in? I guess he knows something we don't, but you have to wonder what that is. Is a few conversations all it takes to convince him you can be a good mod? Surely he would feel more comfortable hiring someone with a long history that he already knows a lot about. From the outside, it looks like a disaster waiting to happen.
