The 773 Million Record "Collection #1" Data Breach

I just got an email from Troy Hunt. My E-mail and Password have been leaked. On 3 Emails which I use frequently.
The leak is a big database of E-mail and Password. I have no clue which sites you or me got leaked from.

So everyone should at least check your E-mail at https://haveibeenpwned.com/

Are you affected and maybe have the same password on different sites change them now.
Even if you know that your password isn't the same everywhere it could lead to under circumcisions.
People trying to find sites where your email is registered on, and maybe that password work.
Think about that they could get a lot of information from you, if this was a website that store information about you.

I always use different passwords. And I haven't been leaked I tried the site. Also who is Troy Hunt?

I was breached too, twice on my main account which I use more than any other. I'd highly suggest you guys check for yourself.

i already handled that for myself (i guess)

I store all my passwords as text files in a directory, because I'm too lazy to use a password manager and it'd be over-board since I already store them in an encrypted volume.
I wrote a little tool to automatically go through them and check if any of mine are compromised. I published the source here.
