Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Post times that you just think, "I love this game."

So, today I opened a random blank world among my collection of blank worlds, 6 people joined even though there was nothing in it. We talked, I placed "Bob, the yellow face block", the original npc. I made a box, gave a couple people edit, somebody trolled, we imagined it as modern art, and I couldn't help but think, "This is why I love this game."

Edit: Since some people apparently didn't understand, I meant for people to share fun memories of EE, or positive things about EE. Rather than complain about how "the golden age" is gone, and argue about it. Talk about the fun experiences during "the golden age", or whatever. The whole point was to be positive.

This was supposed to be a bright and positive topic of people sharing good EE experiences, so that we can push back all the negativity in this forum. What the hell people.

Waking up to see my level made it into the original Advent Calendar felt pretty nice.

Re: Post times that you just think, "I love this game."

My favorite times at the beginning of when I started playing were when I started doing art and needed to fill something in and a random person happened to join my world and ask for the code. I would give it to them and ask them to fill something in to help with my art. I made a lot of friends just by passing out my code freely. My code is almost always "nubs" and so people who knew me would pass it along to those they trusted. I would go get lunch or something and someone had added a flower to something I was doing, or someone changed and improved something, or someone had added a minigame. My worlds really were truly collaborative. I don't think I've ever made a world that was purely 100% me. There's always someone else giving ideas, feedback, helping color or shade, sharing thoughts, minis, chatting with me and just creating a community. I never really had problems with trollers or people messing up worlds and I remember those worlds fondly.

I liked it when we had "wars" in open worlds, people would build their base and protect it with arrows around them, then other players would try to knock off these players off their bases by deleting blocks or pushing them out with arrows and take over their bases.

I remember something like that but for me I didn't make worlds, I played in the hotel worlds. The ones with 15 woots for a room. I sometimes accidentally moved my cursor too fast and then I went on the wood block from pirate ship pack (Or something like that) and I had to ask someone else to fix it. This happened a lot.

Re: Post times that you just think, "I love this game."

Everytime I discovered a new type of gameplay since 2010.

The first time I played EE in 2010 I was in awe at how complex levels could be. Even more crazy was the idea that anything was possible--you could build to your heart's content and make truly unique levels for others to play. I had always been creative in spirit and selfless as well, so EE just seemed like a dream come true.

Then came minimap art. I was stunned. This game, that had these cool gameplay concepts, also presented art concepts. I was gobsmacked that you could play within the artwork--it was surreal.

Then there were arrow minis, bosses, bot levels, etc. Fun fact, I discovered that 2-player co-ops existed in like 2015 lol. I was pretty damn mindblown, to think that there was a non-bot world that could only be completed with two players!!

A ton of nostalgia thinking back, of course. However, EE just doesn't feel the same anymore.

Re: Post times that you just think, "I love this game."

Yea I miss when EE was 2015. Welp lets not talk about negative things.
I prefer to build alone but my friends always help even sometimes I rejected. But it’s fine, they are my friends so I won’t get angry or whatever but I will thank them. That’s what makes me love this game cuz my friends are kind. Until some guy named Turewjyg appeared tbh .-.

Also when I made good art (which looks like trash) I feel happy. And when I beat extreme maps I feel proud of myself.

ahh, that gives me fond nostalgia for my old 'Run from god' level. I renamed my world to "I need help" and people would join and help me with the tedious task of filling in an entire 200x200 world with gravity dots. Then once that was done people made art in the world to act as the map because the only art I could do was a pyramid that had shading on the minimap :3

Such a long time ago i experienced this. It was mostly in the years of 2010-2013-ish i had the thought that i "loved" this game. Examples would be when i'd make some spontaneous maps that'd suddenly get an influx of people and have like 40+ players in them, it was an awesome feeling.

Re: Post times that you just think, "I love this game."

My favorite time was when  I opened a locked world, named it mini mario, and just built. Eventually people began to join and I did what any rational 10 year old would do, I gave everyone edit.We made it to the top of the lobby that day, until someone started a chain reaction of trolls which either forced us to erase all the troll or start over.
The best times were when we built for fun, not for glory.

The fondest memories I have are of when private beta worlds were used to hang out with others as a glorified chat room. I think the last fond memory I have is of bArena.

Yeah same, I always used to make boss to code worlds and sometimes they reach the top of the lobby. Loved to see lots of smileys jumping around on a platform of green blocks, and then letting them die.

This game also inspired me to learn programming. So if this game didn't exist I would probably never even learn how to program, since graphic designing has always been my thing.

when I came back MONTHS after campaigns were introduced and master1 frantically hunted me down and first thing he did was ask "Quick can I use the horror in the campaign", I told him sure why not. His reply was "Okay good because I used it months ago".

Solid 10/10. What a lad.
