Why are most rewards based on skill level and not creation level?

EE is a sandbox, where the fun is to create creative and cool maps.

If that is correct, why does it encourages the player to get more skill level than creation level?

Like, you can play EE for the 2D platforming, but that is not the main purpose of the game.

Most of the rewards are given for Campaigns, which forces the player to get more platforming skills.

Rewards given by level-creation are rare, and ALL of them are given by winning a contest, that means only a select players can have creation-based rewards, but anyone can get skill-based rewards.

I'm so tired of every single campaign and hunts forces the player to get better at skill level, while the focus on creativity is forgotten.

Thats why we see lots of minigames, rpgs and free edit maps.

There is no encouragement in creation, only in platforming skills.

You want proof of what i'm saying?

It's easy to judge someone's skill level, but hard to judge their creation level.

The reason why all level building prizes are from contests are that if it's just to build X worlds then how do you decide what the quality is without playing the world?

I can agree with this. I was not a fan of the removal of the Featured tab. It seriously disappointed me that they got rid of it.
