Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Seriously, speedrun.com is the the tool that literally EVERYONE uses for speedrunning
like, EVERYGAME uses it, it even has an EE page modded by OrangeCrix
Kirby did not even mentioned it
the forum page for the leaderboard is such a horrible idea, it has to be updated manually and most scores are not even verified
seriously, campaign team is ruining its own job

Objectively wrong.
Kirby did not even mentioned it | seriously, campaign team is ruining its own job

Until Orangecrix is made part of the campaign curator team, this is entirely irrelevant. EDIT: And incorrect.
the forum page for the leaderboard is such a horrible idea, it has to be updated manually and most scores are not even verified
So too does the speedrun.com website, which, let me remind you is modded by OrangeCrix as you said above, who comes around less often than Haley's Comet if you haven't already noticed

I do agree with that too. Speedrun.com is great at what it does, and It's much more easier to see the scores in general.

Why should the Staff be in charge of it? Literally none of the games on there are moderated by their creators.

Oh, okay, so then you expect OrangeCrix to just come out of hiding and micromanage a website for a company that doesn't even pay him to do it?

Irrelevant, he isn't required to do anything. There is no binding contract, no work requirement, nothing to be the host of a game on speedrun.com. He can simply refuse to do anything, and he would still have the moral high ground. You cannot require him to work.

No one said that. If he signed up for it then he is happy to help updating it. If anything moderators can be added on the speedrun page quite easily by Orangecrix.
speedrun.com isn't automatic. runs still have to be verified. OrangeCrix offered to make me mod on the speedrun.com site, but I figured it would make more sense to just use the forums as A) it's more accessible, and B) speedrun.com isn't organized very well for games that are very IL heavy.

atleast one pros of using speedrun.com is that the videos of the runs posted there is a bit more accurate to the time that you actually got, regardless of server lag.

why not just use speedrun.com when it's a speedrun of the whole campaign? (single segment but not counting the loading time)

Very inactive, maybe in the future, idk.

speedrun.com has nothing to do with making times more accurate, recording with OBS and a proper timer (which, again, speedrun.com has nothing to do with) do, which Kirby already highly suggests we do.

Just FYI the in game timer is WAAAAYYY more accurate that something like OBS.
OBS assumes that the game is constantly running at max frame rate, which for EE really isn't the case XD
The in game timer measures the number of game ticks it takes to complete the level, so if you make the exact same movements at the exact same time, it will always show the exact same time to complete the level.
The only time this isn't the case is when the popup timer and the timer in the bottom right show different times, but if you record the footage you know you haven't cheated so can just use that time anyway.
I put a lot of effort into making sure this timer is as accurate as possible, regardless of ping, FPS drops, etc XD
