What is reading an OP?

Sometimes I see people say 'Did you even read the OP' but idk what OP is. All I know is OP is overpowered but that doesn't fit.

OP in the context of the forums either means original post, or original poster. In your example, it means original post.

This isn't an EE term, this is used in every forum-esque website where something has a "first post".
