You clearly seem to not know how those bots work.
They don't run page scripts, they just extract emails from the raw HTML data of a page.
Bots aren't normal browsers that can run scripts and view such content normally as you think.
There's still a slight chance of more complex bots capable of running these scripts to exist, just as browser extensions to automate email grabbing, but they're the minority. This solution keeps working perfectly for the majority of bots written with this purpose.
