Will you be able to compete with others around the same experience as you? I mean, I'm quite new here, it would be a quite difficult, even impossible to win against a veteran. But if you don't want to, that's okay. It's just I would have found it easier to deal with

I personally prefer the style where the best go against the worst in the first few rounds, so the most skilled builders actually make it to the later rounds and get to face each other off. If you immediately have people of equal skill level against each other, a lot of good builders will lose early on and a lot of less skilled players will advance. You might think this is a good thing as it allows for an underdog to emerge, however, the loser bracket already allows that to happen anyway.

The team you will be competing against is random.

I don't really have anything against random team placements, i feel like many of the less skilled players might gain a ton of experience from this contest, thus making them better as the contest goes on. Especially if they take to heart the constructive feedback i intend to give every world if i have time. Sure there might be an duel with 2 extremely skilled teams early on, but even if one get's eliminated that way, they can work their way back up if they win the losers bracket.

its because rEEboot is coming and everyone taking part in organizing this contest was like "lets just **** the rewards up because this version of EE will die in 6 months anyway"
im pretty sure thats the only reason
wont be surprised if they start giving out diamonds for free 1 month before reboot release

1. How will we know or where will we recieve information for the theme our team must build. Does everybody have to build the same theme?
2. Are we provided with all the worlds if we don't already have them or can't get them in time?

1) This will appear in the news topic. I'm keeping it locked to keep it organized. Yes.

2) No, because you can get them in time. The world sizes are very small and don't take long to purchase, even for a new player. Plus, you don't need to get them all at once, but instead just purchase them as you go through the contest.

What is the genre for round 1?

Note - ignore the challonge link for now. We are inputting the teams, but we're going to click the randomize button once round 1 starts, so you are very likely going to not go against the person you appear to be against now.

Ehhh maybe. I don't know what they're basing the time off, so maybe you're right.
Or maybe some of the judges live there. But there's a countdown timer for that, so I don't see any issues with San Diego Time.
