If it was completely random, then more than 50% of life will have died due to collateral damage, general chaos, famine, rioting, collapse of society and food chains, and so on.

Also perhaps overpopulation wasn’t his problem to deal with.

But it also happens that this smiley is providing life support to this smiley (who cannot function without the help of an adult), it's not like I screwed up by killing 2 smileys, since I got my goal.

general chaos - uhh, people should realize that they cant win against thanos, so its hopeless action
famine - how? People can get foods, i dont see how they can have famine from thanos
rioting - wont work, obvs thanos. nobody can resurrect people, sad
collapse of society - idk, maybe true, but people have hope to create a new future
food chains - uh why

most people will get depression that tomahawk didnt mention, because people that person knows die, but not all.

so i praise thanos for solving overpopulation problem. Marvel superheroes are dumb, they dont have that big brain to understand that, so they are true villains, not Thanos
