In many arcade maps, peoples want to stop player in one place.
Generally, by block under portal.
That machine allows to stop player without that, and works with no gravity effect

true enter the plastc bclok portal wiht no grav and you stop in th emiddle of the portal

nand, everywhere portals except spikes
or when additionally blue spikes is portal
so kirby did all gates in one,

unlike other gates, each 2 bit combination in this mechanism leads to a unique portal, so you can mix and match. it's also possible to assign four distinct outputs, which is useful in niche cases
