Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

... for how long the user hasn't been banned. (5 days not banned, or e.g. currently banned)
This will tell us if the user is currently stressed and stuff.
Diff could also use this to get statistics of when user usually receive warning and stuff.
BannedAlready and BANNED_TOTAL
This that really important?

Diff could also add our favourite colors to the profile stats, so he could statistically analyze it and make fancy graphs and stuff.
But I'm sure he has better and more important things to do.
(quick question: How is being banned connected to our mental health?)

I think if people actually want the fact that they're banned to be public information, they'd come out about it on the forums. Otherwise, invasion of privacy much?

I mean being banned does slap a big fat bold "Banned" title on every single one of your posts and your profile so it's not exactly private.

Oh my bad, I nearly forgot this was forum discussion.
Regardless, still not a good idea imo

There are varying levels of privacy, imo. While there isn't security through obscurity, making things harder to find out goes a long way, especially when folks aren't motivated enough to find it out otherwise. Like here.
also, this raises the question as to whether or not the forums save old ban records or if they delete them. My money is on deletion, which makes this next to impossible. There has been a history of warning specifics changing, point values fluctuating, so even working with the lengthy record of warnings we have, you couldn't get a reliable indicator. Not really worth the effort then.

Really tho, why do we need to know how long someone hasn't been banned? I mean, privacy issues aside, that makes it seem like being banned is a typical thing that happens often. Like a higher number is something to be proud of, like being 10 months sober or something.
Your reasons were:
1.) This will tell us if the user is currently stressed
Why does this matter, and this wouldn't even mean anything. New member of 10 days vs member unbanned 10 days ago would show the same statistic. How do you even measure stress level with a statistic like this?
2.) Diff could also use this to get statistics of when user usually receive warning
I believe mods already have this information.
3.) And stuff (listed twice)
And things.

Yeah this suggestion is pointless.

Can confirm, expired bans are immediately burned, no record of them is left.
EDIT: Except in backups ofc

Oh my bad.
> For how long the USER WAS ALREADY BANNED.
> Not HOW LONG WASNT BANNED
Sorry my bad,
Edit: I wasn’t concentrated when making the topic.
So now the suggestion is how long their ban will last, which is already known by the person banned. As I described before, they can choose to tell people if they so desire but shouldn't be forced to by having a big thing that says "for X weeks" next to their already humiliating enough title.
