Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Hi Everybody!
Just a few minor changes to the game today:
- Fixed visual issues with NPC overlay.
- Updated NPCs to support the same functionality as signs (%% & censors)
- Updated NPCs so they cannot be named inappropriately, same as usernames.
- Updated how the censor works.
- Fixed a visual issue with the black snowflake aura.
- Updated default NPC name to be player's username
- Fixed a bug that removed death particles upon dying
- Fixed a bug where chatbubbles would wiggle when player moves
- Reduced NPC prices from 500 energy (10 gems) each to 400 energy (8 gems) each, and Beta-Exclusive from 750 energy (15 gems) each to 600 energy (12 gems) each.
Have fun!

Great Update. I needed that reduction in NPC prices to flex on the non-betas.

This is SAD. A new update to fix these issues but you have YET to address the COLD tendies on my PLATE. I've already SCREAMED at MOTHER for these cold tendies. How do you sleep at night when you knowingly make my tendies COLD? Mr. Netflix you best change the direction of this administration away from your "making tendies cold" agenda, or I will get my VERY jewish lawyers on you.

What were you expecting?
Be grateful you got this and not higher NPC prices from this minor game update.

I’m not really grateful. There were many great suggestions for how to revise the NPC system in my thread, yet only a tiny energy reduction is all we get? I’m allowed to complain about that no?
Onjit’s suggestion was pretty good.

You're asking for too many changes in a MINOR game update. These changes could very well still be coming.

Firstly, combining the +1 shop items wouldnt be a big change, worst case it would only be a few lines of code they would have to add.
Secondly:

So this is controversial, among staff as well, but I personally do not think this system will work out, mainly considering (and I know this may not be a popular opinion) that we are planning on including a Gem-Only NPC. The plan for this initial run was:
Some Energy NPCs
1 Beta Exclusive NPC (Robot)
1 Campaign Exclusive NPC (Old Man)
1 Gold Membership Exclusive NPC
1 Gem-Only NPC
As such, it is a business decision I have chosen to take, because, as you can probably guess, the game isn't doing that financially well right now, and we need to breathe new life back into the game.
With your system, the Gem-Only NPC would be a one-off purchase, but we plan on it being more like Diamond in its nature (although nowhere NEAR as expensive).
The other plan with NPCs was for it to be an "Energy Sink" in a similar way to how Holograms, Cakes, and World Portals are. Many players have already got everything they want with the energy they have, so we wanted to provide something new to spend their energy on. I believe purchasing multiples of the NPCs people choose to use is a better way for energy (and to an extent, gems) to be spent in the long run, as I believe people would buy far fewer NPC slots.
As a player, I completely understand the suggestion, and it does make a lot of sense to do it that way, but as the owner of the game, I'm trying to work out some of the best ways to produce revenue and have people support the game if they wish to do so.
On the plus side, when NPCs are launched to everyone, there'll be a bunch more for people to get if they wish!
No, its not going to happen.

ok so the gm npc is limited in 2 ways now
• still have to buy it in +1 intervals
• goes away when gm expires

But a minor game update isn't gonna change the whole system of how something will work.
No, its not going to happen.
At least there is a valid reason why.

I dont think that it would require a whole new system, there used to be switches in the shop that let you use the purchase for multiple blocks (doors and gates), and assuming that this code is written similarly to the rest of EE (limits specified seperately for each block, rather than in a centralised data file or something), it should be fairly easy to combine both of these.
Edit: Just incase you meant the logical system not the internal system, I still dont think this would have been too large of a change, and it's much better to do it early on so people aren't wasting their energy on things that are going to change in an update or two. Its just changing the way you buy them, not how they actually work or anything.

I'm not saying its necessarily a bad decision (and I agree that its good that they explained their reasoning), just that if they would have done it it would have likely been in that update, and that difficulty probably isnt the problem here.

Ya, the internal system would be easy to change. I still think changing the system would be logically not minor and would be better unveiled when NPCs were fully implemented.

I'm not the biggest fan of the decision myself, I just think it's good there's a reason behind it.

We haven't yet decided exactly how that one is going to work yet, but no matter how it works, the purchases would still be on the account, so if you were to renew your Gold Membership, even with a break from it, it would include however many you had previously purchased.

Wait there is a Gold membership NPC? I have gm and i dont have it.

xenotenix better idea for GM users allow GM users to have godl baoarders around NPC's to dstill earn money you could let the players btu the amount of npc's that can have gol boarder so say you have 5 of each NPC and buy 5 gold boarders 5 of any kind can have gold boarder rest cant will cost some 250 energy or so
thanks hg for making this much better and ty for my avatar aswell
