Since I don't think I made a public statement about this, I'm going to say that I left the server, including my role as a staff member there, and explain why.

I believe this community has been having a negative effect on me. I let the atmosphere here make me more cynical and smug than I should be, and I'm sorry for this. That goes double for live chat servers, since that gives me the chance to talk with people live with our full feelings and whims at display.

Apparently the drama involving Zoey's moderation is still going on... after making some mistakes during the first few hours of my moderation, I can tell you that moderation is HARD. (or not, depending on how much you do. I'm pretty inactive in the Revival server.) Even though I disagree with some of her moderation, I respect the work she must put into moderating both the game and a Discord server. Please treat her and other staff members well.

Trying to talk things out during moderation drama is like trying to explain why the world is not flooding whenever clouds become heavy and rain drops from the sky. I don't know how you people live your lives outside of this community, but I can't help but worry that all your complaints are harming yourselves. So please just TAKE A BREAK! I find that things are more enjoyable that way. I will pray that you may become wiser, more complete people by doing that.

You weren't telling people their times via PM (they were publicly sent in chat), you were linking to this pastebin in PMs to every single non-staff person who played your map. Multiple people contacted us concerned and confused. You've been told multiple times to stop this behavior. This is a justified ban.

It seemed that another "executive decision" has been made by Xenonetix that free speech is no longer allowed in Everybody Edits.
Early Sunday morning I was banned by Zoey2070 for "Advertising": https://imgur.com/SOngqYh
The level in question is the one Kira posted about here: https://forums.everybodyedits.com/viewt … 31965&p=60. Despite the fact that the level had only two quotes from the Bible (1 Peter 2:7-8; Romans 3:4), neither of which have any hate speech whatsoever, apparently any Bible verses at all are now seen as "advertising" and will get you banned.
I attempted to discuss this with Xenonetix, and this is the response: https://imgur.com/T2akjNn
As you can see, we are no longer allowed to post anything we believe on any signs, nor are we allowed to say anything we believe to anyone, even in our own levels, or we will be banned for "advertising". According to him, we are "able" to answer questions if they are addressed specifically to us, and ONLY in the chat, but then again...: https://imgur.com/RUvtp6x
Of course, if they don't like your answers, or if too many questions are asked at once, then the room will be killed and you'll be banned for "not keeping a nice atmosphere": https://imgur.com/nt6NG44
And, if you try to give evidence to support any unjustified ban, they'll just ignore you, because only seeing it from their side matters: https://imgur.com/pReCQGo
So, in conclusion:
1) Putting a sign on any level that states your belief is a bannable offense for "advertising".
2) Saying what you believe to anyone in any level is a bannable offense for "advertising".
3) Answering direct questions about what you believe will only be allowed if you didn't start the conversation, it isn't considered "debating", they like the answers you give, and if too many people don't ask questions at once; otherwise, it's a bannable offense for "not keeping a nice atmosphere".
4) Any attempt to give proof that you were wrongfully banned will be ignored.
5) These choices were made solely by the owner of Everybody Edits with no discussion among the staff or community, and without any clear acknowledgement in the Terms and Conditions.

Your free speech rights haven't been violated. You've freely said what you wanted to say and are being punished for it because no one here has an obligation to tolerate what you want to say.

reminder: we've locked like three topics relating to AK712 and his pursuit of gaining an understanding of free speech

so while yes I see the relation to zoey and our general tendency to complain about things, we're only saying what has been said.

and the whole "please don't make topics about being banned" thing. Unless we can bring this to a close neatly (I really doubt that) we ought to cut that discussion out. we're just in a cycle

I don't think the words "ban" or "demod" should be allowed to be in a title topic.  Every time those words pop up, those topics have had a bad history of turning toxic by the second or third page.

ahhkchueleey... that's only partly true.

The idea of free speech means you can share your thoughts and openly communicate with others without harm or prosecution.

What you mean to say is:
freedom of speech =/= protection from criticism

If you're referring to the freedom of speech granted by the first amendment, you're only protected from the government. But that doesn't apply here, and using that argument only means you support the Constitution, not freedom of speech.

AK's freedom of speech has been violated. However, on the internet, you're not guaranteed freedom of speech. If the staff wants to restrict what's allowed to be discussed, they can.
